  • Skunk-Off is made from deionized water, a proprietary blend of essential oils, and all natural surfactants.

  • It is safe for use on all breeds of dogs.

  • Skunk-Off uses essential oils that bond with and absorb the molecules that are producing the skunk odor. It may need reapplied to reach the full source of the odor.

  • No, Skunk-Off will work no matter how long you have it for.

  • The fragrance will dissipate as Skunk-Off evaporates. If the fragrance is still strong, pour water on the affected area to dilute it and lessen the fragrance.

I was pleasantly surprised that this did actually work to eliminate the odour from an outside spray. I sprayed it on my curtains on the patio window. My husband was sceptical and he was not happy that I “wasted” money on a product that probably didn’t work. I knew it was effective when my husband took it outside and sprayed it on the fence and yard where the skunk sprayed and later he admitted that it did improve the smell immediately and the product has remained in the garage! It does require more than one application to completely work outside.😁

My 17lb little dog was sprayed by a skunk and before I knew it, he'd run into the house into the living room. While I shampooed him with an effective shampoo from the vet, the stench of the skunk lingered in the living room, especially in the carpet.I decided to try this spray, based on the reviews, and sprayed it that evening before we were all in bed. The next morning the smell was reduced by about 75%. I repeated the spraying the next evening and I can't believe how the smell had actually gone. Therefore, for the ease of use, a very strong smell of skunk in the carpet and couch, this spray earned itself five stars.I would definitely recommend this spray.

Our dogs chased a skunk under our cabin and it sprayed right under our spare room. Dogs didn’t get hit directly so that wasn’t a huge problem. Big problem was the smell in the spare room. We could not step foot inside that room and had to close it off. Came back a week later with this product. The room still stunk but it was bearable. Used this product in the laundry with bedding and sprayed the mattress and floor down. There was an immediate difference. I wished I would have had this the week before when it happened. I also used a sprayer and sprayed under the cabin as best I could reach. By the time we were done there was only a very faint smell remaining, likely from the areas I couldn’t reach under the cabin. I will always have this product on hand just in case. We also ordered the shampoo in case the dogs get hit. I will never be without this.

Have had serval occasions to use this. Not only is it safe for your pets, you can spray it on furniture and in the air and it helps dissipate the smell quickly. I also soaked cotton balls with the skunk off and left several dishes around the room and it helped with the smell in the air. We bought the big jug because dogs seem to always want to chase the stinky kitties at the most inopportune time. Had friends over for dinner 3 days later and neither our dogs or our house smelled of skunk.

Worked great. Highly recommend for use immediately after the dog gets sprayed.Great for use while walking the dog outdoors, especially if you have to drive home.Best for initial use/contact, as it covers the sprayed area very well, and addresses the skunk spray immediately on the top fur before it can migrate to the skin and soak in.Any areas where it touched the skin, it left a mild odor. Anywhere we could wash it off the fur, no smell.I sprayed the whole bottle immediately all over the dog. Then washed her with skunk shampoo twice. Once quickly outside, then again much more thoroughly inside. This seems to have gotten 98% of it.

Writing this about three months since our dog's encounter. He got a good spray right in the face, and unfortunately got it in the house. The initial skunk smell is so different from the stinky weed smell you get from the road. We thought he ate rat poison, tried to wash it off, and in the process got it on our hands and across the house. There is no silver bullet to get rid of this. The hydrogen peroxide / dawn / baking soda thing works a little bit. Natures miracle works a little as well. I think the straight dawn baths helped. Don't bother with tomato juice. Skunk off works moderately well among a proverbial kitchen sink that won't do much to help.It works by cutting some of the actual skunk smell, but it also masks it with it's own odor. It smells like one of the less offensive urinal cakes. We used it on couches, carpet, and bathed the dog in it several times. It cut the smell by about 30 percent each time. The lingering skunk smell started to go away at around the three week mark. Our dog still stinks if you smell his head or get him wet.The downside - some things still are retaining the "skunk off" product smell. I rubbed some on guitars down with a paper towel that I accidentally touched, and I can still smell it on my fingers when I play them. Better than skunk, but in retrospect I think I would have let the things that weren't as bad air out for a month before using the product. This is probably the only thing I'd recommend buying from the experience. The spray bottle is crappy so buy in bulk and get your own spray bottles. If you have hydrogen peroxide / baking soda / dawn try that as well. In all honesty, it will take much longer than you'd like to get rid of the smell. Godspeed and good luck.

Best skunk smell remover out there; this stuff works amazingly well. This product smells a bit "perfumy" (kind of a Febreze type of smell), but this isn't a mask. Our dogs were sprayed in the face at close range. One had her mouth open and ingested some of the spray - her face swelled up and she was vomiting - so we visited the emergency vet (this happened late at night). We purchased the Skunk-Off shampoo as well as the Liquid Soaker from the vet, and it worked great. The soaker was in an 8 oz bottle, so it didn't go much further than our two dogs, and the vet had sold us her last bottle. The dogs had run back into the house and rubbed their faces on our carpets and furniture before we realized what had happened, so our house smelled horrible. One of our dogs had also vomited in the house as well as in the car on the way to the vet. We couldn't find the Skunk-Off product locally, so we purchased Nature's Miracle. It worked okay - it reduced the smell, but didn't eliminate it. So we bought two of the 32 ounce Skunk-Off Liquid Soaker bottles from Amazon (couldn't get the product shipped overnight, unfortunately). The spray bottles are great - we were able to spray the furniture, carpets, even the walls. I sprayed our floors and then mopped, sprayed the walls of the shower (bathed the dogs in the tub the night of "the incident"), and re-washed their collars and leashes, the shower curtain, the clothes we were wearing, and the rags we had used to wipe off the worst of the skunk spray from our dogs' faces (all previously washed with the Nature's Miracle product, but they still smelled). The Nature's Miracle seemed to work less well in the car - I think the heat brings out the smell of skunk - so we went back over the inside of the car with the Skunk-Off (never been so grateful to have two cars - the skunky car stayed parked in the garage until we received the Skunk-Off). I just wish we could have received the product faster (or found it in a local store) - four days in a skunky house was NOT our idea of fun! I strongly recommend both the Skunk-Off soaker and the shampoo - if you are looking for a product that really works to get rid of the awful smell of skunk, this is the one you want. If you have a situation like ours where the skunk smell is in your house, buy two of the 32 oz bottles - you'll go through it faster than you think (especially if you have skunk smelling laundry to take care of)!

I've heard all the folklore and tried probably all of the remedies anyone can imagine for a pet that has been sprayed by a skunk. Believe me, this is the ONLY one out there that actually works. After a family of skunks moved into our yard, we enjoyed the thrill of a 2 a.m. skunk crisis about twice a week for an entire summer. Both dogs took direct hits from multiple hostiles on numerous occasions, particularly in July near the full moon when the little black-and-white striped terrorists were at the height of their nefarious activities. We tried tomato juice, vinegar, odor mute, a bunch of other brands of skunk sprays--all of which were "guaranteed"--and probably any other folk remedy that could be found after numerous deep dives on Google, and, much to our dismay, our dogs remained saturated in the choking burnt-rubber smell of concentrated skunk-funk for days one end following the encounters. If you've ever tried to decontaminate a dog that has been blasted by a skunk so severely that the monster has marked your pet's fur with a giant yellow stain of shame at 2 a.m., you'll know that you never get used to the smell, and that concentrated skunk spray always induces dry heaves and a crippling headache after prolonged exposure. At that point, you'll suddenly understand just how important it is to have an actual product on hand that will quickly and effectively eliminate the bulk of the odor.Skunk-Off in the trigger-spray soaker became a Godsend for us. Not only does the liquid quickly knock down and eliminate the odor, but the big spray bottle makes it easy to saturate the affected area quickly and effectively. No more dry heaves, no more angry neighbors awakened by frantic F-Bombs in the wee hours of the morning, no more staggering, drooling pets crippled by the tail gun of America's most feared chemical-warfare warrior-animal.We keep at least one 32-oz bottle on hand at all times (Remember: you can't use it if you don't have it!) Although a 32-oz bottle be used effectively for about four applications of a moderate skunk drive-by spraying, you'll need to use 16 ounces to deal with a direct hit from short range. You never know when your pet will be skunked, and the odds are that it will happen at the least convenient time. Stock up before it happens and save yourself heartache.(By the way, if you find yourself ill-equipped and facing a skunk crisis with no Skunk-Off on hand, the one folk remedy that we came up with that works pretty well is the application of Dawn dishwashing liquid, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide in the following manner: dissolve one box of baking soda in a quart of warm water and set aside. Wet the animal down with a garden hose. Wearing rubber gloves, work a generous amount of Dawn into the sprayed areas and work up a good suds. Use the baking-soda water mixture to rinse away the slurry of dish soap and skunk funk. Rinse again with clear water. Repeat if necessary. Rinse affected area with hydrogen peroxide. Let peroxide stay on area for a few minutes. Rinse animal well with clean water. BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL NOT TO GET ANY OF THESE MATERIALS IN YOUR PET'S EYES OR INSIDE THE EARS!)One final note: Skunks are God's creatures and also a pretty fine barometer for your pet's ability to learn, so please don't kill them. After two blasts, our one dog figured out that skunks should be avoided and she hasn't been sprayed in a long, long time; the other one never seemed to figure out the connection between skunks and getting sprayed and he continues to have a terrific knack for being sprayed directly in the muzzle from short range. All that said, please don't kill skunks (but remember that they can carry rabies). Skunks can be effectively trapped alive and relocated if they become a nuisance. You or a wildlife professional can do this if you are so inclined or if you have money to spare. The best defense is making your property unattractive to skunks. You can figure out how to do this using The Google. Good luck!
