We ordered the card game "The Big 5". My boys ages 8 and 10 like this game! The age range seems appropriate, my nearly 5 year old wanted to play once and I think he mostly got the concept, but I'm not sure he knew what he was doing, haha so the 6+ seems to fit. This game is both a bit of luck and a little bit of strategy. The cards are a little big for shuffling, but it's still manageable. The animal theme is fun! My wife got into playing this game with the boys and I think she likes it as much as they do. Great family game, a game adults can enjoy with the kids.

I have a 6 year old who is interested in animals and this is a perfect game for him to learn to describe the different features of these animals. The game uses heavy duty material and can withstand lasting usage from the young ones. What I like the most is the game encourage kids to think ahead and plan for their moves. It is a great multiplayer game and my kid love to play it with his friends when there's a sleepover.

They cannot get enough of this game. They learn every time we play, and they adore it. They love animals anyway, and this let's them learn all they want to about tons of animals. It's very educational and they have a blast while doing it.

This is a great family game for a quick game, this took us around 10/15 per round. We played as a family of 3 with a 7 year old. The instructions were easy to follow and we picked up how to play the game instantly. We caught on quite quickly who had which Animal but it added to the fun as we were trying to stop the other person from winning.The cards are printed well and quite durable. The images are clear and look good when playing. They could be a little smaller to allow for easier play but this did not effect us when playing as we have a big table

My son loves creepy crawleys. He loves to read and learn about them and this game combines both things in one.We have played this game with our family of four . Hubby and I and a 10 and 8 year old.My son loved this game the most, the others have learned a lot about insects, frogs, worms, you name it.We are very happy with this order and gladly recommend it as a present and for other families.

My daughter immediately engaged with this. She didn't play it as a game but enjoyed showing off her knowledge with the questions it gives you. She enjoyed looking at the selection of animals on the board and drawing a card, she then matched the card to the animal depending on if they "had a tail" or "lived in a desert". She is six and has autism, so the chance to just show off her knowledge in a fun and engaging game was great fun for her. We didn't play it how the game should be played but it worked for us and was a lot of fun!

I purchased Skillmatics Big 5 Card Game for my niece as she loves Animals and it turned out to be a great choice. The game is both fun and educational, improving memory and cognitive skills. It's easy to learn and engaging for all ages. My niece plays it everyday with her friends. She loves it. Highly recommended to buy!!

I love so many things about this game! The game board, cards, and box are all very well-made and seem built to last. It is different than any game I have seen and I love that it promotes learning more about each animal and thinking about its unique traits. We practice Montessori at home which places an emphasis on realistic images especially for younger children, and I love how realistic and beautiful the animal art is in this game! While the manufacturer recommends this game for ages six and up, it could absolutely be modified for parents to play collaboratively with a younger child or just to help them with reading. The gameplay is simple enough that a younger child would be able to understand it. I really appreciate that the instruction manual includes a list of which animals fit into various categories, but I wish the animals within the lists were alphabetized! Another minor complaint I have is that the wording on the cards isn’t all in a consistent format. For example, some cards just say “four legs” while other cards say “HAS a tail”, and some cards say “forest” while other cards say “LIVES underwater.” For consistency, I just wish they were more uniform. Another minor complaint is that the game pawns are awfully tiny, and the bases are not very stable so they easily fall over. I plan to upgrade our bases to plastic ones with a slot that the person can slide into. Overall, I really like this game! There are some very minor ways that the game could be improved, but I wouldn’t let that stop me from ordering and enjoying this game.

Admittedly I ordered this board game for my son who is 5, which is too young for the age range stated for the game. However, my son loves the show Wild Kratts and all things animal trivia, so I thought that this game might be a winner for him. We play a lot of family games and this one will definitely go in the rotation. It would be better suited for children who can read, which my son cannot, however he was still able to enjoy it with a parent reading his cards.We experienced a need to have some sort of research option handy to determine if the animal/insect had the attribute in question. We used Alexa, and she was quite helpful. Many of our questions were if a certain animal could swim or had a tail.The game itself has a pretty simple concept (do you have the cards needed to move in either of 2 directions at any given time) and might not be as intriguing or move quickly enough for an older child, but a 6-8 year old that can read and loves animals/insects would probably be the best target audience.

This is a review for Wild Webs, the new game from Skillmatics. This is our third or fourth game from this brand, and we are always impressed... This game is no different!Something I love about Skillmatics games is the high level of quality you receive. In this game, the box is strong and sturdy, the pieces and cards are well made, and the instructions are clear and easy to learn... This is a game we'll be playing for years to come!And it's a really fun game! Because of the game design, it's a new game every time you play, so this will not get old with continued play. We've already played it three times as a family, and our daughter is begging for more... And we're all happy to play again! That's a big recommendation from us. Enjoy!
