I give this item a "4 star" rating because I'm experienced in/with the "older" rubber/metal types of "straps" holding one's skis together. I much prefer the older type as it seems to last better. I'm a bit concerned about the longevity of the "ski bands/straps" bought here.

Protects the waxing as it stops the skies from rubbing against each other and you don't end up with the Cross-section lines which defeats the purpose of waxing your skis.
