This is a very strong rack that I am using to organize yard tools. Mouse stands for shovels and rakes are made of plastic and they bend, or they don’t stand upright and let things fall over. This rack is very strong and sturdy. I can order noise, my shovels hose rakes and keep them all together and neat. The shelving allows me to put my different pruning shears and clippers, Sprayers, gloves, and all the little incidentals you need. I have it outside under cover and it is held up well. It would work wonderfully for a ski rack but I don’t ski.

Well packaged for the trip. VERY detailed instructions, pieces only go together one way, tools included- the only thing I would suggest to have on hand is something akin to a rubber mallet to put together what they call the "U-board", don't miss that at the bottom of the page it says how many to assemble... they have you assembled all of the big like pieces first. It can be put together so the shelves are on either side, or without the standing part, but you cannot use the standing part alone. I only received two of the 3 foam mats for the shelves. However, overall, you end up with extra pieces, such as the ones pictured. I also found out recently that there is an extra leg- unless in the one step I asked people to help with, they failed to put them all. In any case, the stand came out sturdy, and the legs are adjustable to meet your floor level needs. The shelves are weld tacked, the pieces well labeled, and despite the detailed instructions, toward the end they get less clear and a couple of instructions are a bit unclear until you start assembling it. In one area, the picture is all about the holes. Also, it only gives instructions on how to assemble the shelf with the ski area on one side, whilst saying you can do it the others. As you can see in the photos, mine was not perfect, and you can see the flaw in the corner, especially since I realized late in the process that I was looking at the shelves backwards and didn't feel like disassembling it, so I put it in front. Otherwise it is an attractive shelf, nice and sturdy, fairly easy to put together, it doesn't tip in any direction when you have things in it. Granted, I have it used for organizing the stuff we hide behind the couch, so it has nets in bags, fold-away chairs, and an electric scooter, along with blankets, the sewing kit, and so on.... they are all shorter than skis, but most are heavier. I don't see any potential issues with tipping when using for skis. I did not utilize the rubber pieces as of yet. They are quite soft, although they are also not very thick. Since all of the metal has rounded corners, I don't think that dents would be an issue, and the rubber would be adequate to prevent scratches. The one portion of assembling the shelf that was a bit more complicated was connecting the upright section to the shelves. The holes were harder to align, but worked fine in the end.I had got this on a whim, having measured to be sure it would fit behind my couch... I think it might be slightly smaller than advertised, but not by much... just by breathing room. I was unsure it would work for my purposes, but in the end I was the most excited I have ever been about having something organized. It looks really nice, even though you can see the stuff now. You can get at it all easily, there's not a ton of clutter, and the heater isn't being covered. It ended up having an ample amount of space for everything I needed on it, plus some room for further organization. While the shelf extends above the back of the couch, the upright portion ends lower than the back of the couch in the front, and almost exactly at couch height in the back. I was able to position it so that it does not cover the AC as well. The metal is a black matte powder coat, and only the top shelf is wood-looking. The rest is all metal. If one is worried about scratches on their equipment from the bottom of the upright portion, they could always lay the foam down there. The metal shelf areas aren't all that scratchy- this includes the bottom of the upright area- so I don't think it would be too much of an issue overall. As my title states, had mine not been damaged (not in transit, simply came that way), and missing the one foam, it would have easily received 5⭐ from me.

My husband and I ski and snowboard so I thought this would be nice to clean up the clutter in the garage. The rack was easy to assemble and the looks good in the garage. The only probably is that you can only put skis in the back unless the snowboards don’t have bindings on them. Overall, I think it helps with storage space and I like it.

Took about 2 hours to assemble. I’m a shredder, not a builder. 5 stars!

I was looking a wall rack for my ski gears. But I found this could be a better choice without going thru drilling the holes with stud finder, and a good organizer for my helmets, gloves and goggles. It’s very well-made and sturdy. I’m very happy for my choice. The assembly was not difficult but needed some time for me. Anyway, it turned out great, everything looks so well organized, and neat now! I posted the before and after pictures and received tons of compliments from my friends.

I requested this $79 (at the time) "Ski Rack for Garage-Freestanding Snowboard Rack" in exchange for a Vine review. I'm stoked that I did because, although we don't have ski's nor snowboards, we DO have wakeboards and wakeskates. Thinking it possibly could work for something we did have and wanted to store more attractively than just precariously leaning them up against the garage wall.Assembly took me a little over an hour. I assembled mine with the shelves on the right side and after totally screwing that up had to unassembled and reassemble to get it to the right. That didn't take too long and I don't mind doing it to get it right. The screws for the metal pieces and the wood screws all went in without a hitch. Instructions were pretty simple. You just have to think it through while you're doing it if you're like me and aren't like a construction worker person who does this all the time. They give you the L shaped "screwdrivers" that you need.Construction seems pretty solid. The whole thing, once assembled is not hard to move around but it is well built, not too heavy. It didn't fit (too large) in the area I originally planned for it so moved it to the other side and its perfectly placed. I was able to easily load 5 wake skates onto the wide portion in the front and back of that area. The bottom has a pad that you can place down to prevent scratches to your boards and the back and middle divider pieces have foam sticky sheets that you wrap around so when the board touches it won't scratch them. Nice thoughtful touch. For the shelves I put my son's 2 welding helmets and nothing else yet. The other 2 shelves would be a great place for his welding boots or some other type of work boots. As soon as my husband came home he saw it and was impressed at how good it looked and more organized it was. Made me feel great. I'd definitely recommend this organizer!

I really like the design of the rack. However, I was expecting a more durable heavier rack for outdoor use.
