Your cart is empty.The SINGER Crewel Needles are packaged as a set of 24 high-quality hand sewing needles which include six needles in each four sizes. Crewel needles, also known as embroidery needles, have a medium length shaft and a very sharp point, which makes them ideal for hand stitching on tightly woven fabrics. These sewing needles also have a long, oval-shaped eye to accommodate two to three strands of thread or floss at a time. The crewel needles are color coded so that you can easily choose the correct size needle for your needlework project. The green needles are size 9, the largest of the needles in the package. The black needles are size 10, the blue needles are size 11, and the red needles are size 12. Crewel needles are perfect for crewel work, couching, and other types of embroidery, and they are also perfect needles to use when smocking decorative pleats. They can also be used for general stitching and crafting projects. All needles are crafted from a high carbon steel with nickel plating to remain sturdy, rust resistant and durable for long-lasting use. I was surprised that the eyes of these needles was so small. I thought it was buying the same thing I'd bought before several times. They are shorter than standard crewel needles. They are not usable with crewel thread. I will have to find another use for them.

These needles are perfect for my beading projects! I am always losing these thin little needles so I love how many come in this package. The case they come in is also great! Just spin the dial to get a needle out. Very nice.

I thought the eyes would be larger since they are “crewel” needles. Not sure how you can fit a strand of wool through these things! Can barely get a needle threader or one strand of embroidery floss through the eye. I like the colors though so I guess there’s that!
