I really like this sun hat. Brim is wide enough for face coverage but not overly wide or floppy. With the colors so variegated, it will go with anything I wear out and about I like that it "folds" buy rolling that I can stuff it in a purse or backpack. I looked at hats that folded a little tighter but there wasn't any shape or structure to them.

Perhaps not during a tornado, but it can hold the hat down pretty well in a beach wind. Hoping it works on board ship but have not used it there yet. Construction is solid and it is attractive. Also has a band tightening feature inside the rim for a snug fit as well. So far I am happy to have a hat that does not blow down the beach every couple minutes.

I was reluctant to purchase this hat because it wasn't available in specific sizes. When I tried it on, the hat was way too big, but the interior adjustment was easy to do. I've been wearing this hat for several months now and the adjustment has held. It's attractive, offers good sun protection, and always stays on in the wind because of its chin-strap. The price is much better than my former sun hat. which I had purchased at a boutique hat store. That hat eventually wore out and would have been twice as expensive to replace.

I have used a booney hat for years but I wanted to find something that was more stylish that was still lightweight and practical so I could wear it while hiking, but also have it be cute so I can wear it to the beach or for a day out if I want to protect myself from the sun. This hat is just that! It's super stylish and cute, but also functional. It's not too big but it still offers a lot of sun protection, and the lightweight material and ability to fold it and make it "packable" is a huge bonus so that I can take it on the go anywhere and for any purpose!

I've worn this perfect hat for much of the summer and am sad to put it on the shelf for fall. The only downside is that it isn't rain proof, so water can ruin it. If you're having a bad hair day, you might want a plan B hat, just in case of a sudden shower. All that said..it is the prettiest hat, and I love it! I've gotten many compliments! I love that it has a strap, so no worries about it blowing away. It's light but seems sturdy. Perfect beach hat for sure. Great for sunny days, and can be adjusted for a perfect fit. I sure will miss it, but soon I'll be back into my warm snuggy hats for fall & winter. The price was right and I look forward to wearing it again next year.

I ordered this hat to take on an upcoming cruise. In the meantime I've worn it several times and am very pleased with it. It does a great job of protecting my head from the Florida sun. Also, the brim doesn't block my vision when I wear it while driving. It is lightweight enough to stay comfortable (I've had it on for several hours at a time), but it is sturdy enough to retain the shape.I am 66 years old, have short hair, and it looks great on me. Normally I would not wear a hat with a "neck string", but I wanted one in this case, anticipating a windy deck while cruising. Here at home I just keep the bead that adjusts the strings pulled all the way down, away from under my chin and it doesn't get in the way at all. It also arrived well packaged. It did have a very slight "dent" in the crown that probably occurred en route. I rolled up a small piece of fabric and stuffed it in the crown overnight, and that slight dent was gone by morning. (it would be great if the shipper stuffed the crowns with paper before mailing to prevent this) The quality and color of the hat materials are great. Highly recommend

Overall, this is a cute hat. The color was just as expected. There is a thin cord that wraps around the hat and can be tightened. Here's the reason for the three stars. I'm not sure I got the right hat. As I said, the color is spot on, but the brim is where I am confused. The picture shows a wider brim that would keep the sun off at least your face if not a bit of shoulder also. The hat I received is more of a bowler style and has a very narrow brim and likely won't protect even my face. I am not sure if I will keep it or not. If the brim was wide as the picture shows, I would absolutely keep it. Hopefully, the one I got was just a reject that got missed during inspection. It came packed with a hard shell inside to hold the shape of the hat, but it was tied so tightly in the bag that I had to wait a couple of days for the brim to settle down.
