Multi-functional, these bags are strong. They are not as thick as a department/retail store bag, but they are not thin and flimsy either. It's a good buy!

My state no longer allows plastic bags at the grocery store. I use them for scooping the cat box. These are thicker and hold more without tearing.

So, like many of you, I have not had to purchase a trash bag for decades, I just used my plastic shopping bags in my small trash containers for all of my trash and garbage, so when they banned plastic bags at the stores, I wasn't happy about it, since I am a cheapskate... Well, I couldn't decide if I wanted to start using actual trash bags, or keep using plastic shopping bags that I now have to purchase, but when I noticed these, I thought I would take the chance. Now I wished they had banned plastic bags at the stores years ago, since these are so great! Not only are they larger, so they fit my trash containers better, but they are very sturdy (1.2 mills is THICK) and they are opaque so the trash doesn't show through. But perhaps my favorite part is, they are in a nice clean box in the cabinet under my kitchen sink. It is so easy to pull up a bag until you see the next set of handles, then you just easily separate the bag from the next one. Gone is the mess of bags in the cabinet that I have to sort through to find the ones without holes, etc. I would highly recommend these to anyone who is looking for a shopping bag replacement for trash bags, they are GREAT!!!!
