This is the 2 one I ordered ! They are great ! It gives extra room in my grandson and great grandsons closet! Highly recommended them !

Because of the weight of clothing - we knew the adjustable width needed to be more secure. The fact they adjust in length provide options! So thankful - quality appears good

I have a small home and not much closet space along with too many clothes. I thought this would be good to try out. I like that it's adjustable. It's very easy to use. I did have to put it on the lowest setting my original closet rod is not up too high. If the hanging hooks weren't as long that would of been better. I used it for light weight clothing like tee shirts. It holds alot. I do have it open as wide as it can go. One thing nice is you don't see the bars because the clothing above hides it. If I had more room in my closet I definitely get another one.It does seem sturdy but I didn't want to put sweaters and hoodies on it just in case the weight was too much. So the tees and short sleeve shirts works better in my opinion

This hanging bar is adjustable and double this hanging space in my closet. It was so easy to install. It’s so sturdy, functional and great quality.

Its my first time living with my boyfriend (now fiancé) and that means sharing a closet. Its spacious for a walk in but doesn't have very much hanging room. I had the idea of installing a rod across the middle, either with screws or tension but was worried about the potential damage to the wall. When I came across this item it was a really quick buy and I'm so happy with it. It gave me about 33% more hanging space than I started with!

I absolutely love this! It really helped make more space in my 3 year olds closet and brought down her clothes to her level so she can reach her own clothes! It is very sturdy, very easy to put together, and very customizable with being able to control how low you put the rod! Definitely suggest this product!

Just bought and assembled. So far, so good. Product works as it should and appears to be of good quality. Packaged very well, no damages from shipping. Includes 1 extra bracket clip set which is nice. Printed instructions are intelligible.Very easy to assemble and install. If you own any adjustable wire shelving units, this is put together the exact same way. Be sure to install the rod bracket clips at the same height on the vertical rods with the arrows pointed in the correct position. Vertical rods have grooved indicators that the clips *must* snap into.I modified the recommended install instructions to be sure the vertical rod hanger hooks were fully screwed in and aligned to the correct position to hang securely from the existing closet rod. I hung each vertical in my closet, slid the horizontal clothes rod up from underneath, then installed the rod bracket clips where I wanted and pushed the horizontal clothes rod down. The width is easy to adjust in place. (The instructions tell you to do all of this on a flat surface.)The horizontal clothes rod is very easy to adjust, but for added assurances I did not expand it to maximum width. The unit appears to be a very sturdy, but I don't want to push my luck.I wish the vertical rods were about two to three inches longer for my garments needs, but for most people this will work just fine.These vertical rods are also thin enough to not lose valueable hanging space on the already existing closet rod, which is a good thing.I would also prefer the unit's hanger hooks to be deeper, with more curve on the return downwards, to make the unit very difficult to swing and accidentally fall off the existing rod. On my old unadjustable metal and wood dowel rod extension, you would have to physically lift the entire rod unit upwards by about two inches -and then up and over- the existing rod to remove it. This unit hanger hooks are shaped more like clothes hangers. Do I think it's going to be a problem for me and most people? No... But if you have small children who might be tempted to use this product as a swing or as monkey bars, it might be possible to accidentally knock this off the existing closet rod with A LOT of effort.These products help to solve my "rental home's absolute bare minimum (read: brutalist) cheap closet that wastes so much valueable space" problems AND I can take them with me when I move. These are inexpensive, attractive options for renters to maximize their space with a quality but removable option- and they're nice enough I would be very pleased to keep using them in other accomodations in the future.I also bought 1 extra unit to possibly travel with in the future, because the packaging is quite small and would fit in luggage easily and assembles without any tools. If you're going anywhere for an extended stay, this might help make your stay more organized in a guest room or Air BnB closet, etc.

We installed a 14 gun gun safe in our walk in closet and lost some hanging space. I saw similar items on line and decided to give this particular one a try since it was an Amazon best pick and the price was cheap enough that if the thing broke, I wouldn't sweat the cost.To our surprise, it not only was sturdy and super easy to assemble, but it really did double our closet space. In fact, we ordered more after our initial order to do our whole closet and also our boys closet. I showed my father in law and now he's going to order some.If you have any mechanical ability at all, you don't need directions. It's very intuitive how to assemble. My four year old figured it out and loved building it with me.As for weight capacity and some of the other complaints, use your good judgement. The main closet rod should not be overloaded. If it is already sagging, don't install this until you install additional bracing or change the rod.My rule of thumb is if I can't lift this extension rod with clothes on it, then it's too heavy for the main rod. If you want to be able to hang really heavy jackets or overload the rod, then buy a real rod and install it to studs.But for a quick and easy fix to doubling your closet space, this is it.
