silverholder dynamic car hood led strip

How to connect the wires?

1. Test ACC firstly

2. Connect red wire to ACC(+)

3. Connect black wire to ground/negative pole

If you could not find ACC, look for a fuse that is on when the car engine is on and turns off when the car engine is off, like headlight fuse, cigarette fuse etc.

Note:

The red wire should not be connected directly to the battery or the car hood led strip will not turn off until drain the battery.

We have recently updated the wires to white and red. There are 2 versions of wires: 1-black & red; 2-white & red;

Customers will receive any version randomly, the white wire is coonected in the same way as the black wire;

I have 2 strips for my grill and it’s been a little over 2 months and one of the strips have a spot that went out. These are good lights their bright and have a good pure white color not like other brands with a blue-ish purple tone to it. Over all their good lights I’m rating them 4 ⭐️ just because one of the lights went out after 2 months but I’d still recommend them.

Simple and easy to put on my pilot. The first light strip did not work on both sides. I requested a new one everything worked.

Let's start with the bad. it's a short summary. After getting the wiring done and before I mounted the strip, I tested the lights by turning the ignition on and they worked perfectly. I turned the car off and stuck the strip where I wanted it to be and turned the car back on. The lights went through their scrolling start up (super cool, btw), but after that the passenger side flickered twice and shut off. They haven't worked since. I tried to get some product support, but it takes you to a blank page. Super disappointed as this strip looks great and got great reviews. Maybe I got a bad egg? I dunno.SUPER easy to install. I used a wiretap to connect into the driver side daytime running lights (the white wire on a 2022-2024 Nissan Pathfinder) and used a fork connector to attach to a ground on the frame. The lights only shine through one side (as said in other reviews) so make sure you mount with the correct side facing outwards. The red tape covering the adhesive was a little bit of a pain to remove without the adhesive coming off of the light strip, but once I got them to separate, no issues. Just make sure you clean the surface before you stick it on.

I saw this online, and instantly knew I had to have it for my truck. What a simple thing to spice up the front end of the vehicle! The product came in a nice box that easily protected the strip.When I did the install, I apparently got "lucky" and pulled the red tape strip off the correct side. In hindsight, I should have noticed that the light bar is actually only on one side of the strip. Make sure you have the light bar positioned outward when you lay it down on the vehicle, to make sure you don't tape it down the wrong way!The hardest part is finding the correct fuse. For Dodge Owners, I used F75 COOL TEMP*/SCR RLY*. If you use the wrong fuse one of two things will happen. It won't turn on, or it'll stay on full time. Neither is what you want.When you do the install and connect the fuse, just strip the wire back enough that you can bend the wire and slide it under one of the blades of the fuse. Then just push it down into the fuse box with the fuse. There are only two wires. One to the ground of the vehicle (white), and one to the fuse/power (red). I trimmed both wires so the lengths matched where the fuse box was. Very easy to do, and the wires are definitely plenty long for any application.I saw in one review, someone said the wires were flimsy. NOT TRUE. These wires are simply small gauge, as they should be for light amp applications. EXACTLY correct. What this can do, though is cause a problem if the installer doesn't watch where they allow the wire to exit the fuse box. The wire should not get pinched by the box. I ran my wire out through the bolt area of the fuse box (see pictures). There is no pinch, and it works great. The white wire is connected to the ground on the quarter panel frame.Overall, the install is super easy, I've had it for over a month and have had zero issues with it.One thing that Dodge/Ram/Truck owners should note.. Some of our hoods (mine included) have a weather strip that prevents dust from entering under the hood. You'll need to REMOVE this to see the light strip properly. It's a horrible experience, as you have to break the little plastic holders to get the strip off (which can easily be replaced). Once removed, though, the good news is the light strip now acts as a dust guard! The light strip looks great! Exactly as shown in the videos. For most truck applications, you'll need the 72". I used it on both my Ram 1500, and my fathers Chevy 2500. 72" was perfect in both cases.

I was so excited upon finding this product and even more excited after reading quite a few reviews. This led strip is great in theory and looks very cool once you get it installed. I was somewhat concerned with the waterproof resilience of it when I inspected it out of the box and was extremely worried about the cheap almost inexistent wire they use in the build but I installed it anyway. And like I said before it looks awesome once you get it installed, HOWEVER, I had it on the truck less than a week before it began to malfunction. It will flicker and begin to run the start scan and then stop and restart the process. Eventually it will stop illuminating altogether. I had gone through the car wash once in that week as I like to keep my truck clean but I feel if you’re going to say something is waterproof it should not have these problems, that I have now read is fairly common with this brand and item. I really loved this item originally and was hopeful it would last for quite a while but unfortunately it did not. I caution everyone considering this item to look elsewhere.***UPDATE***The company contacted me and asked if I would like a replacement at no charge. I agreed and received a new version of this item from them within a couple of days. The new version is awesome and works flawlessly! I have ran the truck through the car wash multiple times without any issue. I also observed that they had changed the power and ground lead wires to a much heftier gauge which I’m sure helps as well. All in all I am overly satisfied with this item now and love having it on my truck!

Many reviews complain this product stops working. There is a good reason.Although the manufacturer states the strip can be bent (moulded and formed to shape to fit the vehicle), this is not entirely true. My strip, upon testing, only half-worked. Wiggling the end of the strip that didn’t light, flicked the light on and off. Obviously, a connection issue.Upon close inspection, I found 2 things: a small tear in the strip; and that the strip is not one continuous piece — It is in fact joined/soldered. Clearly, these connection points are a weakness, and are highly prone to breaking should you do what the manufacturer states you can: “It can be bent at your will.” Well, no, it can’t.Worse, upon closer inspection, I discovered yet another join. Same problem: poorly connected; and it too came apart.So, in a small LED strip (only 1.8m in length) there are in fact THREE strips, poorly joined at 2 connection points.I repeatedly reached out to the manufacturer, with photos showing the issue. Unfortunately, it appeared their email was broken. Upon finally communicating with them, they refused to admit fault, honour the warranty, and replace then product. BUYER BEWARE!
