Makes perfect 2" x 2" gaskets for the one-inch transfer valves of my homebrew buckets. They do not squeeze out from behind the valves like do the gaskets you get when you buy a transfer valve from the local homebrew store. I punch a 25mm hole in the center with an arch punch and I'm off to the races. Have seen no leakage from gaskets made with these silicone sheets. Truly great stuff!

Used it to replace gaskets on an old flip-top glass jar. Worked perfectly. Just the right thickness. Used a pair of EMT shears to cut it out but probably could have used regular scissors. Comes with a plastic “wrap” on both sides which peels off easily and came in handy when I needed to mark the pattern to cut.

I ordered this gasket material to seal up some containers for food storage. The product description indicates these are food grade material. When I opened the package there is a real chemical smell which concerned me . . . I thought no way do I want these near any food. But I know that producing this kind of product there are chemical compounds involved so I deccided to see if they would air out. If you separate all of sheets and lay them all out separately somewhere you'll find that they will off gas, just like the plastic and rubber parts in a new car. It takes a good few days, maybe a week or so but mine have no odor now at all. I feel if I wash them thoroughly that they are indeed safe for use for my purposes. You have to remember that they've probably been sitting on an Amazon warehouse shelf for many months, many even a year or two so thepackages for sure have built up an odor.

I needed a new seal for my vintage moka pot. The seal is no longer made (1950's) so I had to make my own. The worked great!

I got these sheets because I couldn’t find a silicone gasket for my 1 cup Bialetti. The rubber stock gaskets work well but need replacing at least once a year. (Or whenever they start to gum up) This silicone lasts longer is much easier to clean and there’s enough material in the 3 sheets to make 12 “3 cup moka express” and 12 “1 cup moka express” gaskets. (Basically enough last decades! - or can be considered 1/4 the cost of premade gaskets) The material cuts very easily with an exacto knife and fine with scissors. Interestingly, the 3 cup inside diameter is exactly the same as the 1 cup outside diameter. So if you’re careful, you can get two filters out of three cuts. For gaskets: Do not copy the rubber size - measure the metal and cut it to fit that. The rubber is slightly bigger - sized to squish into place and the silicone won’t react the same way. I used a ballpoint pen in a compas along with an exacto. After one week of use I’m very happy with this material - plus I have enough for random future projects.

I have two stove top espresso makers that have old gaskets. The gaskets are hard and brittle. No longer usable. I wanted to replace the gaskets in both pieces. I could not find pieces that were the correct size. The gaskets were either too large or too small. I did a search for food grade rubber and came across these. The plan was to make my own gaskets. I placed the order and a few days later the package arrived. I used the old gasket as a template and cut out a new one. The size was perfect and all that was left was to test out the moka pot to see how it worked. It works just fine. I have been using the coffee maker with the diy gasket made from this material. No complaints. I still need to make a gasket for the other one. The price is very good for this. I am able to make multiple gaskets of varying sizes and it will cost less than premade replacement gaskets. Very happy with the item. The rubber sheets have multiple uses. I use one as a trivet for when I take the coffee pot off the stove. Works as advertised and would not hesitate to purchase again.
