I took these out of the package and washed them with dishwasher liquid soap. I installed them in our oven and started heating the oven to 350 degrees. There was a horrible odor produced and it had my fire alarm screaming. I couldn't get my fire alarm to stop. The oven didn't make it to 350 degrees and I removed them. After I removed them everything went well. I will not use these and will return them. What ever is on them will get into your food! This is not ok!

Pros: amazingly effective, easy to install, they stay in placeCons: They create a lip on the edge of each rack. This is true for all rack protectors, but it is good to know there will be a small change in sliding things in and out. You need to lift trays up instead of just sliding straight out.I bought them for myself and a baking friend and we both find them worth it.

I have the worst luck when it comes to burning my hands on the oven rack! I was buying some reusable oven liners for the bottom of my oven, and these popped up. I was like, yes, please!! I measured them out and they were perfect for my oven!! Installing them was super easy! I am very impressed with the price and how easy they were to put on the racks. I would highly recommend it to others. If you are prone to getting your hands burned, like me, or if you have kids who are using the oven, then they are a must have.
