  • PACKAGE: 1 x 90 degree elbow reducer ID 3/4" to 1", 1 x aluminum joiner OD 3/4", 2 x small clamps, 2 x large clamps.
  • FUNCTION: This kit has been assembled to address the persistent leak. Does not fit the 4.6L, 5.4L, or 6.2L V8 engines.
  • ENSURE: If there is any problem with the product, please do not hesitate to contact us, we will help you solve the problem.

Installation:
1. Install the aluminum joiner in the lower hose and secure with one small hose clamp.
2. Slide the small end of the reducing elbow onto the aluminum joiner, securing with one small hose clamp.
3. Slide the large end of the reducing elbow over the nipple on the coolant reservoir. Be sure to slide the hose far enough that you can position one of the large hose clamps above the clip slot.
4. The hose should very nearly touch the reservoir body. This is critical to prevent the hose from coming off under pressure.
5. Install one large hose clamp on the reducing elbow below the clip slot. This clamp will create the liquid-tight seal.
6. Install the second large hose clamp on the reducing elbow above the clip slot. This clamp will keep the hose in place. Installation usually takes less than 2 hours.

This kit saved me a ton of money on what would have been a replacement part that would have broken in the same way. I wish I had purchased this sooner, so I wouldn't have had to replace coolant every week for so long. If you have a leak at your coolant tank, this is the product to buy. It'll require elbow grease to install, but it's worth the effort.

I didn't even boil it just to get an idea of how much stretch it would have. It's softer than the original hose material. By the time I had it half way on I just committed to the process and kept going. Perhaps having left it on the dash on a hot day or boiled it as other people did would have made it an easier process, but I don't feel I was a terrible process without it. I didn't even grease it either. Just kinda requires that spin and push motion until it's snubbed on their close and pointing where you want it. After I got pretty close I just took a breath and revisited after and did my final adjustments while being not winded cause fatigue is non avoidable but you know it will be secure. It truly requires just some good honest "try". If you have hand arthritis or back pain you'll probably struggle so do anything to facilitate install. I didn't take the reservoir off, I just climbed in there, rested on my knees, and with one hand twisted while the other kind of helped push in. Required a ton of patience, but you'll be better off. As far as clamps go, the top one cannot effectively sit flush if pushed up against the tank, left it a tick behind so it could be stable. The second will want to slide down as you tighten, just kinda play with it and hold it up as you tighten. The connecter ones I put on the flatter area I observed on the coupler. After I took it for a spin came back and gave it another tighten with the hoses warm. Overall great purchase, perhaps the clamps could be narrower but wasn't enough for me to run to the hardware store and buy some.

Definitely the best and cheapest way to fix the problemHad to cut it down and heat it up to install but otherwise worked great

Worked well. Tough to get on but didn't have remove reservoir. All good so far (3 weeks). Supplied clamps could be better.

So I'm crawling around under my 2012 F-150 (dealing with IWE vacuum issues) and notice some fluid on the under side of the driver's side of my truck. It wasn't oil, wasn't transmission fluid, and it was slightly orange. After doing some looking up in the engine bay, I noticed that my coolant reservoir was nearly empty. I traced the source of the leak to the O-ring seal on the quick connect fitting, which is apparently notorious for failure.I Googled for some options for replacing the hose and fitting and found several options online. This one I picked up from Amazon looked to be pretty much identical to more expensive versions. Cutting the hose and splicing was not a big deal as the hoses fit snug but were not hard to put on.However, the large end of the 90 degree hose that goes over the outlet on the reservoir tank was a beast to get on. The instructions mentioned dipping it in boiling water which I tried several times but the hose was never pliable enough to force over the fitting. So I got out my heat gun and heated it multiple times and after a LOT of elbow grease I got it far enough on that I was comfortable with the positioning of the large hose clamp over the first ridge on the fitting. Honestly, this thing was so tight I probably didn't even need to use the large clamps. So just beware that you will most likely need a heat gun and some patience working the hose onto the reservoir.6 weeks later, no drips, no leaks, and everything is working great.

Easy to install. Fixed my leak. Quality parts. I had to cut it down to fit, but that’s easy. Recommend for sure!

It worked great . It is a very tight fit at the res. I see why its best to remove . SO that being said , use a pot of boiling water to warm up the larger end hose , also I use some KY lube on the res. nipple ... You might LOL but its water safe . Then with the Res. air cleaner box on the ground and off the truck ( very easy to remove ) and do . Look where it needs to be finish set . Where it connects to the tank , feel where the end of the stub is and fit the hose clamps . One up buy the side face of the tank and the other close to the end of the stub , but not past it . I filled the res up and started truck and I only lost Half a jug of antifreeze , so topped up and on the way .

I had the infamous leak from the cheap Ford quick connect under the expansion tank. I noticed it 2 days before a planned 250 mile trip through the desert to Las Vegas. Ordered this item and got it the evening before my trip. The install was straight forward. I dipped the large end of the hose in water and got it to start expanding around the tank opening. I did remove the tank for ease of install. It took a lot of force to get it to go flush on the bottom of the tank and I used a heat gun several times to try and soften it up. After about 20 minutes of turning and pushing, I got it all the way to the tank. I made sure the top clamp was just above the large part of the tank nipple and secured everything before reinstalling the tank. I should have trimmed the large part of the silicone hose more at the top, since I have a small kink at the bend. Nothing too bad since silicone won't start leaking/cracking like rubber does. I then trimmed up the bottom part of the hose and attached it using the supplied hose barb. No leaks after driving all the way to Vegas. Happy.
