About this item

  • HIGH PERFORMANCE EPOXY — Sika AnchorFix-2 quikrete anchoring epoxy creates a strong, secure hold for threaded bars in uncracked concrete, solid masonry, steel, and similar hard and tough materials
  • FAST CURING — This professional-strength epoxy cures quickly, so your bar stays in position without slipping more easily. You'll also finish the job sooner by avoiding lengthy curing periods

  • CLEAN APPLICATION AREA TO ENSURE — After drilling hole into concrete, natural stone, masonry, or other anchorage, use blow pump and bristle brush to clean dust and debris before applying epoxy

When you need to to create strong anchorages for reinforcing substrates such as uncracked concrete, masonry, natural stone, solid rock, or steel, Sika AnchorFix-2 Super Strength Anchoring Adhesive offers a premier solution. Secure threaded bars with a quikrete high strength anchoring epoxy that cures quickly around the bar so it doesn't shift position. This is a two-component, professional-level adhesive with a high load capacity and low wastage. It's epoxy-based and free of solvents and styrene. Store cartridges in cool conditions out of direct sunlight.

This stuff dries very quick but is strong as concrete. Used to anchor 2 small concrete pads together with rebar.

Seller must be distribruting old expoxy. We had literally the same issue as another guy. We used our best heavy duty caulking gun and it would not even exit the tube!I'm saying this is true: "I followed the instructions, removed the cap, cut the bag below the clip, inserted in a caulking gun and started to squeeze out a little to get the mixing started. Literally 10 seconds or less later tried to squeeze into the hole I had pre drilled and it was already hard in the mixing tube. I cut the nozzle back 3 inches and it was still too hard to squeeze out, broke my gun. I tried the second nozzle and another caulking gun and got one hole filled before the epoxy was hard in the nozzle again. Decided to open the whole thing up squeeze out the epoxy on a board and give it a hand mix..."Clearly defective product. Buy it from a box store instead.

I can see that is certain situations a fast setting epoxy is a good thing, but in my application it turned out to be an expensive mistake. I am setting an aluminum railing into granite steps. It is a custom made railing and the manufacturer recommended that I set the posts into the epoxy so I also fill the inside of the base of the post. I started filling the first hole with the epoxy and I quickly realized it was way too hard to pump the epoxy through the mixing tube fast enough. I was pumping the caulk gun with both hands to try and go faster. No luck. The epoxy had already started to harden before I could set the railing. I had to core drill the epoxy out of the hole and start over. A waste of time and money.

For the last month, I have been trying to glue down some paver steps in my backyard. I have tried a half a dozen products, all of which were advertised as "strong adhesives" for pavers. None of them worked. I used this product today and it was unbelievable! It did everything I needed it to do. I knew as soon as I applied it and the pavers stuck that this product was probably going to work really well. It's a been a few hours now and those paver steps aren't going anywhere!Super pleased with this product! It's not the cheapest product on the market, but, boy, does it work. Given the amount of time I've spent applying and then removing other products, I should have bought this the first time. It was well worth the price!

I will take some ownership of this issue, but honestly I wasn't dawdling that long.I had four bolts to set in a wall. Pumped in the epoxy for the first and was a bit slow putting in the bolt. By the time I was working on the second the epoxy had already set up in the nozzle. Switched nozzles and managed to get #2 done but that was it.This stuff holds, but sets quickly.

I had a cheap HF gun which couldn’t hack it, luckily my BIL had a very good one and that delivered the product just fine. It sets pretty fast even at 50º ambient but things can move for a while if not attended to.I set four 4x4 post bases that have a 9” rebar welded onto the bottom in a rock bald which was grey shale, it did not scale or shatter when I drilled it and remained very solid. I used a 1” bit to give me some wriggle room alignment wise, filled the holes 3/4’ full and pressed the bases in, a good bit flowed out the top as I set them. Over the next hour they shifted slightly and went out of alignment a tad but I coerced them back into place. They will be supporting an 8’x6’ covered porch so I probably didn’t need adhesive at all, the weight of the porch being what it is. The recommendation for a 3/4” post pin is a 7/8” hole but I didn’t have a 7/8” rotary hammer bit, only 3/4” and 1”, so 1” it was.I cut about 2” off the end of the mixing nozzle but didn’t cut back to the point where the mixing labyrinth is. I pumped out about 6” of product on a paper towel but should have done more, the gun wasn’t cooperating, by doing more it insures that only well-mixed product goes in the hole and more importantly stays in the nozzle - many people have trouble with the nozzle clogging but it’s often because they failed to follow the instructions on the tube imo. A high quality and high power caulk gun is mandatory imo.

Seems very strong but way too fast to cureI put it in the fridge but product is very hard and comes out very slowly. When in the concrete cure in one minute or less. Won’t give you much time to install carefully the bolts
