The quality of the brush is really nice for the price. It deffenitely helped get a lot of the dust off the records but once you get all the dust in one spot on the record, it kind of just disperses once you try to brush it off. Overall it works well but could be better, i would probably go with one of those soft felt material brushes next time. (I put a sticker mine). Brush itself is very soft and the handle is durable so atleast you know it won't damage your records.

As others have noted, the basic design is common to many. But this one is wide enough to more than cover the entire LP groove surface over to the label, and the bristles are strong enough to provide friction and grab hold of debris, while the individual fibers are easily soft enough to assure no damage. (Is it just me, or do these things soften up over the long years?) Recommended.

This record album cleaning brush is great! It has a cover so it doesn’t gather dust when it’s not being used. It works very well. It is static free. You don’t need any spray or gel cleaners. The brush does all the work. It is very easy to use and looks very durable. It is very gentle on vinyl, so it doesn’t cause scratches.

The bristles are stiff enough to get the dry stuff out of the grooves without damaging the record. They are soft enough that I'm not concerned with the pressure I might use, or worried about being too rough. The handle folds to "protect" the bristles, but really only does it on the contact part. The sides are still exposed, and some of the bristles are "fanned" from the center and aren't covered by the handle. I have a small box I put my supplies for cleaning inside of, so I appreciate the space saving this has with not having a bulky inbuilt case solution, but if you plan to leave this in the open, you may need to dust the brush before use.

This record brush is different than the kind available when I was into records, like my son is now into them. This brush has a specific way to be used, otherwise from what I understand, it could potentially cause microscopic damage to the vinyl. It's only 4 steps and they are very clearly explained in its small, 4 panel accordion foldout style manual, one step per panel. Very easy layout.Following those steps does do a fine job of maintaining the record audio quality and reducing interference. It also makes a difference with the static issues that build up on the records. Lint and other small fibers that were on some of his records were no longer attracted to the surface afterwards. The brushes in my day just pushed that debris, but if it didn't stick to the brush, it went back to my records like 2 magnets fly together. So this one is superior in that regard, but the importance of adhering to the correct procedures really needs to be stressed. So, in conclusion, I recommend the brush, but only for the most discerning, matured vinyl record connoisseurs. One last thought, there isn't a small case with this, which makes no sense to me, and the retail package is made of flimsy paperboard, so it's useless for any length of time. Ours is torn already. It definitely needs a slick, matching retro style storage container, one that protects the bristles and keeps the dust and debris away. I think it's a serious missed opportunity. That's all, thanks again.

Works just as well as the Audio Technica version that this is resembles. Carbon bristles are soft and effective. The aluminum case looks classy and works well to protect the bristles when not in use. Like all brushes that have this design, be careful not to press down on the bristles or hold it at an angle otherwise you'll scrape the record with the bare metal. Its happened to me when not paying attention, it'll scratch your record. This isn't a flaw, but this brush requires you to pay attention.
