I do a lot of painting and had one of these before. It served me well for over 5 years. Finally it gave out and I had to order a replacement. This is my go to roller. It rolls smooth and evenly and the twist and extend handle is so handy and convenient. Would highly recommend to anyone that does a lot of painting or anyone that doesn’t want to be stuck on ladders and stools all day.

I have had one of these for ten years, I do a lot of painting, this saves so much. Extension sticks are heavy, this is not you can ad an extender but I am tall enough to just use this to do ceilings and tall walls. I totally recommend this and add don't lone it to anyone, that is why I replaced my old one with this. Also the shaft for the roller cover is more solid and thus the paint goes on evenly. Shur-Line make the best paint application products, it's like they are made by people who actually paint walls and ceilings and trim.

Best roller style I have ever owned, could not find anywhere during covid when my last 2 broke after many years of good use until here

The grip is nice and cushy. The aluminum is lightweight. The head, although plastic, seems sturdy enough. My first use for the product was painting (3) 8 X 10 rooms. On the last wall of the last room, the middle adjustment wheel made a popping sound, mid-stroke, and the telescoping segments collapsed into each other. That bit of the handle would not stay in place after that, which made the device pretty much useless for my purposes. I tried taping it in place to finish the job, but the integrity was just not there. Don't waste your money.

I got this to replace a roller I’ve had for years that telescoped, but was not working properly anymore. This is a dream to use. It’s nice to hold with the comfort grip and the 3 different lengths is a bonus - my old one only had two lengths. I love it!

PRODUCT BROKE APART IN THIS FIRST ATTEMPT TO EXTEND. THE HANDLE KEEPS ON DETACHING FROM THE POLE. THE ROLLER SLEEVE ONE END CAME WITH A DEFORMED LOCK WASHER. THE ROLLER CAGE KEEPS ON DETACHING WHILE PAINTING. WASTED MY MONEY AND TIME. NOT WORTHY FOR PROFESSIONAL AND PART TIME PAINTERS.

I used an identical roller frame for many years and was very happy with it. I finally broke it after a couple of decades and couldn't find anything comparable in the big box stores or even the local hardware store. I was pleased to find the exact model still available on line. It arrived quickly after I ordered and I am happy to have such a high quality roller frame in my hands once again. The grip is comfortable, the ability to extend the handle to various lengths is advantageous over adding a separate extension handle and the roller frame rolls exceptionally well. Great product.

I bought this to replace the exact one I bought 20 years ago. The adjustment mechanism had finally given up. Ultimately I can paint standard height walls with this, without extending the pole. But when painting 9ft walls I really like the ability to extend. Very comfortable and controllable in the hands. I must have for painting rooms in your home.

I have painted 3 houses interiors with this roller. This is actually my second one as I lost the first in a move. But, it lasted almost 5 years. Paint washes right off (though I have not used oil based.)The grip is the best feature. It is designed to be ergonomic and anti-fatigue. The handle grip will start to twist after extensive use. The extension slides well and doesn’t have the wobble cheaper rollers have.I haven’t had the same locking issue some of the other users have had. I tend to over tighten though.

This is the second of these I have bought over the years - these things are great. My original Shur-Line "Twist N Reach" roller final broke after about 7 years of regular home owner use. The original broke internally so that one of the multiple adjustment spots would no longer lock in place. I was able to fix that with duct tape and I kept it as a backup. On to the review of this newer version of the same roller... My house, like any house, has some hard to reach spots (areas over stairs, rooms with higher ceilings, etc) and there isn't anything I can't paint with this roller and a footstool. It's sturdy, rolls much nicer than your run of the mill roller, and the ability to set it to any length within it's range is paramount to making the job go faster. It's really comfortable in your hand with the foam grip. I constantly change the length as I go from wall to wall, or even as I move along a single wall. I'll extend it to paint the top of the wall and as I move down towards the floor adjust it to a shorter length. What I am trying to say is I adjust it a LOT as I go and it never gives me a problem. The only reason I deducted one star to a 4-star rating is because I felt that the previous version I owned locked into a length a little easier. Don't read too far into that though. If you never owned the previous version you would never know and have no complaints. This thing works great.
