Shurhold 276 Long Dip and Scrub Brush

No stain is safe!

This ergonomic scrub brush features a long handle and is perfect for cleaning those hard to reach areas. The Long Dip & Scrub Brush has stiff, chemical resistant bristles made of polypropylene. The extra long 20 inch (51 cm) handle makes it faster and easier to clean those hard-to-reach areas like bait wells, wheels and water lines. It's great for removing stubborn stains like fish blood and safe to use on non-skid and teak, too!

Cleaning and Prevention of Mold in your Carpets

Got mold?

If you notice mold developing in your boats, car, or RV’s carpets, you should make it a priority to clean it. Mold will spread quickly and is a serious health hazard. You will want to clean it throughly and, if your carpets are removable, the floor below it. Severe molding should warrant the removal, cleaning, and re-installation of the carpet. What you'll need:

- Mold Away (and an empty spray bottle); Stiff Scrub Brush; Cloths or Microfiber cloths; Dustmask to avoid inhaling spores

How you do it:

If carpet is removable, go ahead and do so. If not, determine if the mold infestation warrants cutting and pulling it. Start by mixing the Mold Away and spraying the affected area. Let it soak.

Scrub the affected area with the Scrub Brush. The goal is to loosen the mold and break it away form the carpet or floor. Wipe the area completely clean with the cloths. Let area completely dry. Reinstall the carpet.

Determine how the mold growth started. Is there a leak? Did you spill something? If there is a problem, fix it. Otherwise the mold will return.

I had hoped the bristles would be firmer, so I can't use this for its intended purpose. But I found another use, and it will work just fine. Good brush.

Rugged. Have been using to scrub stubborn grease and dirt on a piece of heavy equipment. Has stood up well to rough use and chemicals.

This brush is great for cleaning water troughs on a working farm. This brush and a little bleach cleans up water troughs quickly.

The brush handle is as pictured and the model number matches, but the photo shows a dense, fine or soft brush where the bristles appear dense and soft. Please see the photos of what was delivered. The bristles are sparse and there's a big gap in the bristles. I've tried inserting photos but the website wouldn't permit me to add any after I had deleted the original photo while drafting it. I'll try again after it's posted.

This brush shed it’s blue bristles during my first use. They embedded themselves in the upolholstery fabric of the cushions on my outdoor furniture. Extremely disappointed . I wonder if product was old and dry rotted for something like this to happen.

I've been searching for a super-inexpensive way to scrub the bathtub without having to use a disgusting old rag, like my mom does. I've tried stiffer scrub brushes, but they just scratch at the stains, without thoroughly removing them. This softer brush is like the best of both worlds--it scrubs the stains, but also provides the complete coverage of a rag. It also gets the rounded corners of my tub pretty well. I use it with a powdered, abrasive cleanser, and it gets the job done.

There are a million uses for a long-handled brush, but I purchased this specifically for our backyard hammock. It's huge, and between rain storms and lots of trees, the hammock often gets covered with falling debris. The long handle extends my reach so I can do the whole surface and the stiff bristles are just the ticket to get it clear and clean. I imagine this would also be great for people with SUVs or trucks who wash their vehicles at home but can't "quite" reach the roof. Highly recommend.

Bristles are a bit long and on the soft side for the way I want to use the brush. Will probably trim them down & see how that works. Otherwise, as advertised.

My bad. From the pic, I thought this was a heavy duty toilet bowl brush. It really is just a long handled tire scrubber so you don't have to bend over so much. They should have shown a side view too. It seems well made, but I sent it back anyway. Shoot...I wuz hopin' it was the toilet model.
