Excellent pump, far superior to the OEM installed Lippert FlowMax pump that lasted 18 months in our RV. It's more adjustable, provides higher pressure, runs less to maintain that pressure, and best of all quieter. Highly recommended.A couple caveats--First: many of the Shurflo pumps sold here and other online sources are the OEM version which, reasonably enough from the manufacturer's view point, don't have a warranty from Shurflo/Pentair. Only the retail version comes with an end-user warranty. Make sure the unit comes in the retail packaged box stating the warranty--it should also be Model # 4008-101-E65 printed on the pump's label. The model number that ends in -A65 is the OEM version sold to RV manufacturers and isn't going to be covered for the end user.Second: many knockoff (cheap imitation junk) pumps are out there that mimic the Shurflo model number in the name or title of the pump itself--be careful!

2010 Airstream International 25FBQ. We bought this trailer in 2018 and the water pump was the first thing to fail. This was our replacement and it works great. Low noise, low current, plenty of water flow, and combined with a pressure bladder, it never cycles unless we're running a faucet. This pump has no problem keeping up with the shower head, even periodically cycling off while the shower is running. It's worth noting, we converted our tank sensors from the miserable Micropulse system to the highly functional SeeLevel sensors, however the pump switch on the SeeLevel panel is rated at a slightly lower current than the switch on the Micropulse panel, and indeed the stock pump from Airstream exceeds the rating of the SeeLevel switch. You'll see this discussed on airforums, where some users either choose to not worry about it, or whittle the panel to install a slightly larger switch, or install a relay (which, unless the relay coil is wired in series with the auto-shutoff switch in the pump, will cause a parasitic current draw any time the switch is on but the pump is off.) This pump is within the SeeLevel rating, so it's IMO a much simpler solution without any worry about frying the switch contacts.

Like so many others, I replaced an older Shurflo 2088 series pump that had finally called it quits in our 1998 motorhome. The pump location is below the bedroom but down in the under-bay so the noise and vibrations were never as much of an issue as in the travel trailers that we had previously. The vibrations of the old plumbing were getting a little rough though so I was looking forward to this quieter, smoother pump. Really though, I couldn't tell very much of a difference. I guess this new one is a little smoother but it shakes the plumbing just the same as the old one and I do use "soft" lines from the pump to the PVC.The flow is a little better. Not jaw dropping but a little better. The Bypass (accumulator emulation) feature is indeed quite nice. While it doesn't seem to drastically reduce the low flow cycling of the pump, the water output at the sink is silky smooth at all flow levels. No more pulsing at the faucet on low.Mine had 8 bolts securing the plastic back to the metal motor body. After reading all the reviews about the aluminum threads striping and allowing the pump to separate, I pulled the 4 bolts in the corners to replace with longer ones and nuts. The corner bolts are the only ones that have the threaded openings open on both sides. If anyone is wondering, the bolts / screws are type 10-32 and really a 1 3/4" length would be ideal. I could only find 2" length at Lowes so I just cut them down with a dremel so I could get to the mount screws later. Because the back side is angled, a lock washer is out of the question. Lowes didn't have nylon lock nuts but the good thing is, the slope of the mount makes a normal nut lock in place anyhow. It's a good pump so far and the price here is great. I am happy.

i bought this not for rv but for a solar 12V application for my house. I have a reservoir tank and needed to pressurize the output of that to supply the house water and its working great drawing from that and i get about the same performance on faucets and house fixtures including shower as i do using my regular 240V well system. Its limits are reached with a garden hose type application or trying to run a sprinkler and it wont keep up with that demand well + it will run constantly which is not a good idea because it will get very hot if it runs constantly or for a long period. Im sure that isnt helping it last a long time getting it hot like that in a heavy demand type application. Anyway it works fine directly plumbed from water source to your pipes but any small leak in a fixture will make it cycle quite regularly so i had to fix one 'dripping' fixture to stop that. Also i got the sureflo little screen filter thing and the flexhose hookup kit which raised the total price a bit but worth it if you dont already have that stuff .. anyway i really like the pump and think its very effective and easy to use for a water system that has low/medium demand and doesnt need an 'accumulator' or whatever to work just fine .. i didnt need to adjust anything on its internal switch points either it will turn on with a pressure drop to about 40psi and shutoff is around 50psi.*edit* - here we are several years later from the original post above and still using the pump as a secondary/backup pump system on my house its still working beautifully - has saved my rear and kept me good on the water situation multiple times in power outages and storms .. i love this pump, just bought a second one just in case i ever need to replace it at a critical time ... its more than served well though so all the time after this point is 'bonus' ...
