One of the more cold hardy varieties, this attractive bush has glossy, leathery dark green foliage and an abundance of magnificently fragrant large white blooms. Has a more upright habit and more tolerant of direct sun light than other gardenias, with flower buds that resist late spring frosts without damage. Frostproof makes a wonderful hedge or foundation planting. Place close to outdoor living areas or entryways to enjoy the fragrance. Plant in mass to screen walls and fences or include with other fragrant bloomers in a container planting!

The shrub was delivered yesterday, it is thinner and sparse doesn’t look like the advertisement The bottom branches have no leaves at all . When I opened the box the top leaves sprang up because they were folded down , I’m concerned because many of the top leaves are yellow like fungus or over watering

I got a live plant that had great leaves on it and looked healthy. It’s winter here in Oklahoma and it’s in the teens, so I decided to keep it indoors until Spring. It was wet, so I didn’t water it. It felt dry the next day and I gave it a good watering. The water seems to just run right through the pot out the bottom. I kept it in the original pot. No instructions came with it! I googled on how to grow a Gardenia! Lol! Still doing good. It’s by a sunny window and off to the side so it’s not direct sunlight. Just like Google said it needed.But it is getting some of it. I waited another few days and it felt dry and I noticed a few of the leaves looking dull. I watered it just a little. Next day the soil was dry, so I watered it a little more. The leaves are now are all dried up and falling off it! I’m going to remove all the dead leaves and transplant it in a regular pot in hopes that it will grow new leaves and come back to life. It’s 10 degrees outside, so I can’t put it outdoors! I wish they would have sent instructions on how to keep it alive! Not the best start to this! Maybe a grow light would work. I had high hopes for this!

So far, so good. Plant arrived in good condition and appears to be doing well after 5 weeks in the ground. No blooms as of yet.

Frankly I was fully expecting to be disappointed with this purchase. I’ve been wanting gardenias for a while and so decided to take my chance. I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by nice lush and healthy plants when I opened the packages today. The plants were packed with such love and care. All around it’s a great purchase at reasonable price, fast shipping and perfect packaging. I’m completely satisfied. What more to ask for? This is exactly the experience I’d except each time I order plants from Amazon. Unfortunately not all vendors are as good I’ve never had this luck with plant vendors who claim to be #1. Maybe they can learn a thing or 2 from this vendor and strive for customer satisfaction. I now need to find additional spots on my small yard so I can buy more plants from this vendor.

I’m very please at how healthy and robust these gardenias appear to be! Usually plants arrive dry and in need of tlc. These still have very moist soil and all the limbs and leaves are full and healthy. Can’t wait to get blooms next year. Fast shipping too! I definitely recommend.❤️
