This rod is so clever. You twist the metal pieces together for the size you need. One end piece is size adjustable. It makes a good, strong rod. My bedroom has nice double french doors. I like to keep them open for air flow, but need to block out light. These did the trick for mounting a set of curtains over a wide doorway. No sagging in the middle with these, even with heavy curtains. And no putting up expensive curtain hardware requiring tools and screws (a job my husband hates.)

Bought this since my closet does not have a door. I was worried that it may slide off, but it's actually really secure. Works great.

Hard to put together, but is nice and stays up one put up. I recommend measuring like instructions say or have someone to help

Overall, what do you expect for such a cheap price? You're going to get a chinese curtain rod that may or may not hold as much weight as you expect. Some people seem to expect to use this as monkey bar (my brother in law) and then when it falls off they curse it!Well to get this to really stick there are a few things you can do.1. Make sure everything is SUPER dry. Put this in place exactly where you want it, and run a bead of silicone around the edge and this will keep water from getting in between the rubber pad and the wall and this ups the strength immensely. I did this and it hasn't moved a single inch.2. If you find you can't make it stick even then you have one of two choices, first is Liquid Nails or the like and literally construction adhesive it right in place which can hold so much weight the bar will just collapse before it let's go from the wall, or worse, you'll tear out a tile or a piece of the wall before it gives way.3. Your other option is to send a screw through it. Yep, exactly why you bought a No Drill version is straight out the window but let me tell ya, it works. Slather the screw in silicone so that no water can find it's way through the hole and this will be rock solid.Overall it's cheap and works as I expected and would recommend to people who understand what they are getting.

I don't understand how this is supposed to hold up a shower curtain. It is so flimsy and in so many pieces... I put sheer, ultra thin, practically no-weight curtains on them and they can barely hold the weight. They are bent in the middle and look ready to give. The rubber grips on the side barely hold and I am expecting the rod to fall any minute now. At first I was like "well that's what you get for $5" because I order them with a bunch of other stuff and forgot how much I paid. They were absolutely NOT worth the price I paid. The only reason I am not returning them is that I put them in really high windows that I couldn't install a rod in so I needed a tension rod like this... It was so hard to get them up there, I don't want to take them down. If they fall in the next week, which seems likely, I will return them.

This rod is excellent quality, it fits in snug and holds the weight of full curtains easily. I'm so glad i ordered this one!
