Bought this primarily to help w/some CNC dust collection in the future but haven't gotten those machines running again yet. But it does seem like a nice one for that as the tube is light and stiff enough that hopefully it won't contract much like some hoses tend to do.In the meantime I figured with all the adapters it might help fit at least one of my shop tools — and this set does! One of the adapters fits nicely over where the dust bag normally goes on my miter saw. Another fits on the sander part of a bench grinder combo I have. Another fits just a standard vacuum attachment including a CNC dust shoe. None of them ended up fitting my orbital sander which is a bummer but I'm printing a part that hopefully will work instead. (Speaking of — these adapters are nice and flexible, molded material! It's a good rubbery material on the adapters. NOT printed as far as I can tell although one maybe was molded from a printed part?)And of course one fits my shop vac (or rather the dust collector bucket thing I have for it). Although therein lies a slight rub… I wish this actually fit not INTO my shop vac but ON THE END of my shop vac hose. As it is so much of the length is this very narrow tube and it hurts the efficiency even more so than just a constriction on the end.

For my dust collection needs with my portable saw setup, the adapters fit my vacuum and saw perfectly however there is a problem with the 1” ID hose provided which creates a substantial reduction in the air flow capabilities when compared to the standard hose that was provided with my shop vacuum. The vacuum shown in the photo is a European model that uses a 1-1/4” hose and my old little R2-D2 lookalike (not shown) is 1-1/2”.Surface area of a 1” hose has 0.784 square inches; 1-1/4” hose has 1.227 square inches; 1-1/2” has 1.767 square inches. This means that a 1-1/4” provides 156% more air flow potential and a 1-1/2” provides 225% more air flow potential than the 1” hose. In dust control effectiveness, air flow is what it’s all about. The reduced ability for sawdust collection with the 1” hose system was quite obvious during my use. This may be okay for a small hand held sander or similar, however for my chop saw it is insufficient.Note from my photos that the adapter on the saw inserts internally into the saw’s dust collection port. The precise fitting installation was nice, however during my use I found that the reduced size just couldn’t cut it (pun intended) for evacuating the majority of sawdust. NOTE: For the record, in another photo you’ll see the 1” hose connected. Due to the 2-D perspective of the photo there appears to be a kink in the hose, however I assure you it is a slow bend if seen in person. The extra length is to allow me to move my saw further down the rail to the right for longer piece end cutting.For my prior dust control I was able to attach the 1-1/4” stock hose from my vacuum externally to the saw although I had to use duct tape to affix the hose. Although rather clumsy it worked and provided more air flow then a reduced size is capable of providing. Unfortunately I am going to need to move back to the larger size to re-gain the dust control air flow that I had previously.ATTENTION SELLER: The product listing includes this confusing information that should be corrected: “The 12ft dust vac hose DIA 13/16” 0.D(outside diameter), 15/16”’ 1.D(inside diameter)” which suggests that the hose is larger on the inside than on the outside. Maybe you meant 1-3/16? It is also suggested that if you offer other sizes of dust collection systems they should be referenced in this listing to help your potential customers find the correct product for their needs. This hose kit has turned into a very versatile and useful accessory in the shop already. I've been able to adapt this kit directly to my standard Ridgid shop vacuum with one of the included adapters, and it fits the inlet perfectly. This is step #1 for me, as I've struggled finding solutions for a narrow, flexible hose in the past.The other included adapters fit a variety of dust-producing tools I use, most notably a set of Craftsman routers. The hose is nice and long, which is very important when it comes to its versatility, and the adapters screw easily onto the threaded hose, which makes them quick and easy to swap out.The hose itself is pretty rugged, though perhaps a bit stiff...but I've also been using it in a chilly shop in winter. I'm hoping it'll break-in and loosen up a bit with some more use and some warmer weather. I appreciate the narrow diameter, as this makes it a bit easier to wield around, and - despite the size - I haven't noticed any lack of suction.Altogether, this is a nice find that's fitting my equipment well and is definitely helping keep the dust down during the day!

The shop vac hose comes with a large selection of attachments which allow it to fit too many different sizes of shop vacs. It's allowed me to get quite a bit more distance out of my shop vac which came with a rather short hose. Great product.

Worked well for connecting vacuum to dewalt orbital sander. Having all the extra connecting pieces was a plus. Definitely helped in keeping the loose sand to a minimum.

for my liking, the hose is too rigid. It wants to keep a curved shape which gets annoying when attached to a small tool like an orbital sander. You're aware the hose is attached.my other dust collection host is very flexible and you can pretty much ignore it when moving a sander around, so I was expecting the same kind of thing. This products hose is not horrible, it's just ... there. The hose makes it a 3 star product.on the plus side, the attachments fit a shop vac, screw onto the hose easily, and one of them was a snug fit on an old dewalt sander which my other kit struggled with, so I'm adding one star back on.

I should have read the product listing closer. I mistakenly thought that something listed as a shop vac dust collection hose would actually fit my shop vac and/or tools. The hose is twelve feet long as advertised but the fittings don't fit. Even if they did, the small diameter would put a lot of strain on the shop vac. My advice is to check your requirements carefully before ordering.
