I bought these because I needed a hands free device that would not cover or go in my ears as they are very sensitive. I originally ordered the standard ones and my head swam in them. Even the minis are a little large and my head fits into a 7 1/4 fitted had with a finger width of room. They connect super easily if I answer my phone before turning them on. They’re comfortable, durable and I can hear pretty well if it’s in a normal noise or quiet area. If it gets loud it’s harder to hear. If you put earplugs in it really boots the sound. The buttons are easy access and even with gloves on are simple to use. I can hear very clear when using and other people when answering can hear me even if I whisper so I would say clarity is pretty good for that. They’re great for work, home, sporting events, driving or working out.

I can’t say enough good things about these. Although they are not insanely loud, these are insanely functional for the reasons I’m going to list below. I work in 106 dB department in my factory. I wear custom fitted earplugs, and these headphones sit on your temples. This is a whole different style of headphones. I can hear the music with my earplugs. This is a huge game changer. It’s also nice for when you are cutting the grass, or if you want to go on a run, because you can still hear things around you, while listening to your favourite podcast or favourite musician. These are definitely worth buying. I don’t have a huge head by any means, so I would recommend buying the smaller ones, like I did. They come with a nice case as well as the charging cord. It does not come with the wall plug. It is a regular USB, not USB-C. I think that you can buy one aftermarket though. Overall, I give them a five out of five because they are perfect for what I need. If you are looking for super loud, buy something else. These are good for factory workers, who wear earplugs, people that cut grass with earplugs in, joggers that don’t want to be run over by a car, etc. lol

I like earbuds for their low cost and good sound quality. I decided to try these at the suggestion of a coworker. I work in the front office of a manufacturing facility. These headphones do well in the office for what I call "elevator music mode," it's low but just always there and I can hear things around me. I think they do well for multiple styles of music from classical to heavy metal and rap. The bass is better than I thought it would be and, surprisingly, I have noticed vocals are easier to understand than with earbuds I have tried. Here's a use case I discovered that the manufacturer might not have considered: these headphones work extremely well with ear plugs. When I go on the manufacturing floor I can hear my music clearly while wearing my earplugs. The tone isn't quite right compared to a stereo or ear buds, but it's still darn good. And the safety man can't grumble at me for not wearing PPE.There's a downside to wearing these with earplugs. Usually you can hear things around you even with earplugs, but with music on top of that you can't hear anything. So be careful. I suppose it's good if you stay in one area on the assembly line, but they do make walking around a bit more tricky. The good thing about wearing earplugs is the volume doesn't have to be turned up very much for the music to sound loud. I've frequently had battery life exceed 10 hours since I rarely play music over 50% volume during the day. They're also very convenient for phone calls. No one has had trouble hearing me on the phone, and I can do other stuff while talking. These headphones beat any other earpiece I've ever had.One last thought, range is very good. I can get around 50 feet from my phone while listening to music in free air (no obstructions... walls, etc). They will maintain a connection for a good distance beyond what is capable of audio transmission and resume playing when coming back into range. Oh, and they are comfortable. I wear them all day, even when they are not playing, with no problems. The price is a bit high, but I'd replace them with an identical set without any thought (I mean, assuming I have the money).

Really 4.5 Stars but because I was pleasantly surprised I rounded up to 5. I'm a believer in bone conduction technology now.Sound quality: Really good almost across the board. I wasn't expecting much for bass but it was alright. If you up the volume you might not notice the difference unless you are an audiophile. Unfortunately, by upping the volume you get the vibrating tingling sensation that you feel under your skin. Doesn't bother me, but I can see it being a problem who might be prone to vertigo if they have that kind of sensitivity in their inner ear canal. Or maybe you just don't like being tickled from in front of your ear to your upper jawbone. Weird sensations aside, if you drop the volume to where you are not feeling it under your skin, you may lose some of that low end sound. This can be improved by adjusting the resting point to right in front of your ear (if you have the right sized head to angle the headset that way).Fit for Standard: I have a big head so the conduction portion sits right in front of my ear. Good comfortable fit. Wore overnight with no pain around the ear or around where the strap sits. Doesn't even bother me if I side sleep. I also have glasses and have felt minimal to no awkwardness while using the headset. The only time it feels weird is if they slip and the earpiece on one ear rests on top of the glasses and the other side rests underneath the glasses. But nothing a quick adjustment couldn't fix for me.Battery Life: Played string instrumental covers while I slept lasted 8 hours plus. Told me the battery was still medium... whatever that means. But I never really needed to use it more for 8 hours straight.Range: Pretty good. Not the greatest but far from the worst. Connected to both laptop and Samsung Z Fold 4. With phone, no connection loss outdoors with phone in pants pocket. Indoors I can step away at least 50 ft while losing line of sight around a wall. Two walls pushes it but I have managed a somewhat stable connection if I am close to that 2nd door.Microphone: Loud and clear. I use in Teams meetings and phone calls with no issues. Honestly, I will probably still get the Aftershokz version with the extended mic in the hopes that it will reduce background noise. I work in a high traffic area so the general Shokz mic may pickup other people and background noise too easily.Uses: Used in Teams meetings, workouts, and while I sleep. The open ear is amazing because it helps with situational awareness. I work in a lab and covering both ears is just a safety issue. But I can walk around the laboratory during Teams meetings and still be aware of my surroundings. Same with the gym.Pet Peeve: I hate special or proprietary chargers. Ugh. But magnetic attachments get a mild pass. I just need to buy more cables to stash at home and work.Overall: I was going to deduct a half a star for low end loss and the proprietary charger but honestly even that is overkill considering how well this company engineered bone conduction technology and made everything else pretty high end.
