I haven't gotten to mix this pigment into a craft project yet, but the glow-in-the-dark effect is very strong! I don't think I've ever seen a paint or craft supply glow this bright before.Overall, definitely recommend!

This is a review of Shiny Stone Glow in The Dark Powder Pigment, powder for Painting, Epoxy Resin Colorant, 100g/3.53oz (Sky Blue) This is so much fun. It really does glow. I used my UV flashlight to charge it up and it glowed! I’ve been mixing it with my watercolor and gouache paints, particularly for painting skies and highlights on snow. I’m experimenting with how much I need to make the effect last longer after being charged with the UV. And I need more colors for an aurora borealis. Later, when I have time, I look forward to using it for some resin projects. This really works well.

This is a fun find, this glow in the dark powder can be mixed with variety of substances to create interesting effects and products.I tested a small batch by mixing it with some water and glycerine in a small vial. It mixed well when shaking and gave the liquid a nice light blue hue. After letting it charge in some light for a while I took it to a dark room to observe the glowing effect. I noticed that the blue color dissolves more readily than the glowing element so after setting for a while some of the glowing particles would create a small pool in the bottom of the vial, while the blue tint still was distributed throughout the solution. Shaking it up a bit suspended the glowing particles throughout the liquid again. If you use this in other mediums that solidify, such as on paints, polishes, glues, varnishes, and resins, the glow and color wouldn't separate out over time like it does in a liquid solution. painting and resin work will likely be some of our next projects with this.

I requested the blue/green color. I mixed some of the powder pigment into epoxy resin and then poured it into a mold to make a bowl. This glow in the dark powder pigment mixed in easily but the epoxy resin still looked clear after mixing it in and I didn't want just a clear bowl so I did add in some other mica powder in a light apple green color just to give the bowl some color. I wasn't sure if adding that extra mica in there would effect the glow but it did not seem to effect it. I placed the bowl under a black light and the bowl glows well under the light. When I place the bowl in a completely dark space after charging it, it glows brightly. I'm really impressed. I did not use a lot of this pigment powder and still got a really good glow making this 100g jar a good value. This glow in the dark powder pigment is easy to use and it works great!

This is so much fun! If you are any kind of crafter, you can find a ton of uses for this. I originally got this to use in resin. I used UV resin and made little glow in the dark necklaces and tiny polaroid picture frames and experimented with the powder ratios. You clearly get more of an impact the more powder you use. It mixes really well in resin and did not leave streaks or clumps of powder and did not affect the cure time. Charges quickly in sunlight and the glow lasted around 2.5 hours for me. The blue-green color is very jelly fish/ocean bioluminescent/Avatar.Using a little eyelash glue, I also made little makeup designs on my cheeks. :)I did try adding this to some dye for fabric to see if I could make glow in the dark fabric but that did not work as well - likely because it was way too diluted in the water bath and not enough really sticks to the fabric, but you could incorporate this into fabric paint.

This powder has a much different texture and behavior than the mica powders I've been using with my resin jewelry. It is very, very fine, and has no static or clinginess to it; there is almost a heavy metal quality to the way the powder moves and pours. This mixes into resin so easily, and the individual particles are so fine as to be almost invisible. Once mixed into resin, this powder has a slightly cloudy, whitish, but not totally opaque look to it, but in the dark, it glows a beautiful turquoise color. The glow is brighter after having been exposed to a UV light, but it also still glows after any light exposure. The finished products with this pigment look quite magical in the dark, and I'm glad to have so much powder in the jar, for future projects.

This powder is really fun and the color is amazing! I love making resin projects and other crafts so I can’t wait to use this. It’s a super fine but dense powder, a similar feel to nail dip powders. It comes in a large, 3.5 oz jar, plenty for several small projects. In the photo, you can see the intensity of the “glow” after being light-charged with my cellphone flashlight for about a minute.Update: 05 February 2025, so a couple of days ago I used this glow powder to make a pretty soap dish using Ecoresin (see photos). I wasn’t sure how well the color would translate because of the base white color of the resin but it ended up coming out perfect. I swirled the color a little bit just for fun and it looks so neat in the dark. I think it would look much more uniform in traditional resin but I kind of like the marbled appearance that I ended up with. Great stuff!

It's a very pink pigment on its own, but when you charge it up and let it glow, it has almost a white glow to it. The jar comes with a lot of product, but it arrives unsealed, so be careful as you open it. This costs a little less than what I typically pay for glow powder on my favorite website, so I'm almost considering getting some other colors as well....
