It’s what it is exactly. Flimsy, cheaply made. I was just trying to replace one of these things and got a 10 pack, so they can just keep snapping and breaking, I am ok for a while. Thrown some Chinese garbage at the problem, basically.

These were ordered for 1/2" plywood shelving, and 1/4" diameter mounting pin. What I received was close to fitting 5/8" shelving and less than 1/4" diameter pin. The clips fit in the 1/4" hole sloppy and the "lock" on the clip measured .180" wider than 1/2" or .500. Closer to 5/8" of an inch than a half of an inch. If you're particular and want to hear it "click in place when installing the shelving boards, for get it. The shelf will hold the clip in place if your shelf is exactly the correct width and you put little weight on the shelf. Other than that, they are no good and won't work for your application. I'll use thembut I'll need to add a shim under each and every clip "face", so the shelf is tight angainst the lock.
