Product is as described but unlike previous times, the sellers FOLDED a 12"x12" sheet of lead into a rectangular box instead of shipping it flat, so make sure you specify "ship flat". Otherwise it's fine.

I'm going to have to do something to make it pretty, like wrap it in fabric or leather to make my wife take a liking to it, but it works as I thought it would.She is extra sensitive to the flow of electricity near her body so for her an electric blanket (even a D.C. type of electric blanket which is hard to find), or a laptop PC just can't be next to her. I'm not talking about avoiding the heat from a laptop, though this lead will soak some of that away too. She is almost driven ill by the close flow of electrons. So I purchased this as a shield to go between her and the laptop, or between her and her Kindle, or any other kind of electronic device that goes around or near her body. I'm using it as a shield, my own idea.Another reason for you to cover your piece if you use it the same way is that you don't want this material to be in contact with your skin because lead will be drawn into your body at the molecular level across time, the more touching the more the effect. I have no idea at what point it would be too much, but the point is sew it into some kind of cover and don't let the small kids play with it. If you get it wet, put it somewhere to dry and rinse the surface it dried on as the trace water that evaporated will have some lead content behind on the surface. This is all common sense basic stuff, nothing to be afraid of. So, if your wife gets jittery, nerves on end, while being around the electronics, shield her, this is a good investment. Cut in half there's enough to handle two of the large Kindles.

This is what it is. Im not really sure what to write here. It comes in a rolled sheet. It is packaged well so you don't open it up and grab it with your bare hand if you have so many packages showing up that you cant keep track of what is in every box. Otherwise, its lead, if you are buying this you know what you are buying.

Well I am not the average customer for this product. I bought this for my fish tank's aquatic plants.In pet stores they sell plant's with their stems wrapped in a foam strip which is then wrapped in a strip of led to anchor it. They sell 6 thin strips of led (3") for like 3-4 bucks. INSANE.Well I bought just a few bundles and they started multiplying like crazy so I bought a sheet of this stuff. Sanded the grime/crud off of the surface (like decal residue) until it was a bit thinner and more flexible and cut out my own strips. I still have about half a sheet left but I saved a good $100 bucks on that 6 strips for $4 deal. Plus I control the size/dimensions so each bundle has the right ammount of weight on it.THANKS SELLER!
