The Sharp EL-2196BL is a 12-digit AC-powered desktop calculator with two-color printer.

Features:

  • Large Display - 12-digit (12.0 mm) blue fluorescent display with punctuation
  • Quick and Crisp Two-Color Printing - prints at approximately 3.5 lines/sec. in 2 colors (positive numbers in black, negative numbers in red) on standard size paper rolls
  • Tax Keys - allow for easy tax calculations
  • Mark-Up Key - used to perform mark-ups, cost/sell/margin calculations, percent changes, and automatic add-on/discounts
  • Rate Keys - allow simple conversion functions
  • Grand Total Key - adds the grand total of several calculations such as the total prices times units on an invoice Additional features include floating (F) or fixed decimal (6,3,2,1,0), adding and constant modes, item count, print and non-print settings, and round up/down selector. Convenient AC power means no batteries to run down.

I am an accountant and had an older version of this calculator for over a decade. This summer I spilled a full cup of water directly into it and it no longer worked. So relieved they still made it. I almost ordered 2 but hopefully I will be retired before I need another one! Just as good as the old one which is not always the case anymore. This one is a little more quiet.

It works great just like the old one I had for years, but this one has a battery in it and a loud buzz/hum noise that the old one didn't have. If I don't have a radio on, it is very distracting. With a radio, it is mostly tolerable.

The sharp Calculator EL2196BL has to be one of the best calculators. I have seen Back on the market in a long time, I have used almost every brand and they do not compare to this new sharp calculator it is well made a little bitlarger sits on a desk beautiful beautiful. It is quiet functional beautiful well. I commended what I liked most of all about it. All the control buttons are just a little bigger and easier to maintain and work. The number of buttons are a little bit bigger easier to read. Easier to work with this is a well. Big improvement reminds me other original larger calculators that they made 20 years ago. But this one is an excellent buy for the money, and I will well recommend it to anyone.

Great calulator. Always used the Sharp models for paper tapes. Black/Red ribbon is easy to replace and this model is fast!

This is the Sharp calculator that I worked off of for many years and will replace the Sharp that I bought a few months ago which was awful joke for a Sharp. This calculator is wonder and I love using it every day.

Funcionan muy bien durante un mes y empiezan a fallar el impresor. Escribe números equivocados. Compré 12 piezas y 8 están fallando, ya no sirven.
