About this item

  • FAST AND EASY INSTALL: SharkBite Max push-to-connect brass push caps are perfect for plugging the end of a PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT and SDR-9 HDPE pipe quickly and easily. No need for soldering, glue, or additional tools; pipe connector can be installed in wet lines
  • NO PEX TUBE LINER: With no PEX pipe tube liner required, SharkBite Max plumbing fittings eliminate flow restriction when used on Copper/CPVC; large diameter fittings (1-1/4 in. to 2 in.) require a Stiffener when connecting to PEX pipe
  • STRONG AND DURABLE: The reinforced stainless steel collar locks in the cartridge and provides additional strength for 50 percent reduction in insertion force
  • LEAD FREE: Flex plug end cap is made of high-quality forged DZR brass with reinforced stainless steel that is lead free; all SharkBite pipe fittings meet the same standards for commercial and residential plumbing applications
  • CERTIFIED: Pushfit end caps are rated to 200 degrees F and 400 PSI with 2K maximum burst

Every house needs one these. I was changing a valve with a bad valve I thought was good. This plugged the pipe until I went to the hardware store

I’m using these as temporary connections while I rework my basement plumbing for a huge bathroom remodel. I’m moving walls and reconfiguring the whole bathroom layout. These allow my to move plumbing line out of my way without losing water for the entirety of the project. Way cheaper than the local box stores. These are quick and worry free connections.

The product page may or may not specify that SharkBite is not rated for galvanized steel, which is most of my original system. However, I did appreciate that it was a 4 pack because I can essentially create stub-outs with other pex fittings or cap off shower risers here and there.Good # per pack and they do, of course, work flawlessly on copper and pex. This is still a just-in-case kit item, with all of the flexibility offered by push-to-connect

Sharkbite Max is so much better than the original sharkbite. Much easier to insert on copper pipe. Just clean the copper till it shines and it goes on easy and no leaks!

Everyone who has water supply shutoffs for their sinks and toilets with pex line should have one of these ready and available for the inevitable leak they will eventually have.We learned the hard way when our toilet shutoff valve started leaking in the early evening, we of course shut off the main water to the whole house, then had to wait till the next day to get the new shutoff valve and install it before turning the water back on.If we would have had one of these at the ready, when could have had the water back on for the rest of the house after capping the pex line where the leak was.

Turn off the water. Cut the pipe slide on the fitting. Turn the water back on. Done.Whole process took less than 5 minutes. Researching I found that the critical item is to get the fitting pushed on fully to the recommend depth. I marked the pipe to ensure I got it fully seated. The depth for different fittings is on their website.

Ya tiene más de 2 meses puesto y no me arrepiento, ni una sola gota sale y eso que el tubo es de alta presión.
