Worn this all day in the surf. So far I haven’t been bit by a shark. 😎 Keep bait in my pocket while fishing in the surf. So far so good. Comfortable fit all day. Had it for several years. No issues.

built well and is robust. went spearfishing in Cali last week and No Sharks so it must be working, right?? I do wish that it had a slightly bigger band on it though. I put it on my ankle with a 5mil wetsuit and it didn't have a lot of holes left on the strap. Good thing I don't have fat ankles or wasn't wearing a drysuit.

I doubt this will stop a shark from approaching from the opposite side of the magnet, nor would it likely help much if they attacked the upper torso area. I see it as a placebo, but I feel whatever slight protection it brings is worth it. I appreciate that research is being done to address this issue, and I'm sure Surfbanz will continue to evolve and improve. My hope is that the company doesn't overhype the amount of protection these provide and continues conducting research to make it better.

I just got myself one of these for Christmas and my brother-in-law got three of them for himself and his kids. Seven of us were surfing today in Southern California and we were the only ones in the water. We were about 300 yards out and my brother-in-law was separated from the rest of us a bit. He was further north, and he saw a shark go cruising right by him. He had an ankle bracelet on. The shark paid him no mind. He told us that it was on its way toward us and we all gathered together to make a little pod. Three of us had bracelets on our ankles. The shark got within about 30 feet of us And was coming straight at us and then went under. Juvenile great white, we think. It’s a little bit counterintuitive to leave your ankle down in the water, but we all did and it swam away. We didn’t see it again. So all seven of us are alive and it seems the shark wanted nothing to do with us. It’s peace of mind. We might’ve been a little panicky without the bracelets, but with them, we felt like we had some kind of control in a way. I’m glad we have them. We named him Sharky Claus.

I haven’t used it yet but I like the idea that I don’t have to look all over the place just to see if a shark is lurking in the area that I’m spearfishing in. I use to carry a bang stick before but I don’t think I need it anymore.

We’ve been vacationing in Florida many years and haven’t been bothered by sharks, despite seeing them close by. Decided to purchase these after several recent shark attacks near the area we visit. They were comfortable to wear and none of us were nibbled by sharks. However, pretty sure people assumed the whole family was wearing ankle monitors :D

I think my review is like everyone’s. I’m not sure if it works but I didn’t get bit in Kauai hahaha I love the security this device gives me. It is a bit heavy on the ankle but after a while you forget you’re wearing. I will no longer go snorkeling without it!

Well I did not get bit by a shark so does that mean this thing works?I'll let everyone know if something changes. I decided to wear it on my ankle this way it's far away from my phone as it can damage electronics because of the heavy magnetism. When you're not using it put it back in the box and it will protect all the electronics around it.

Ich feiere die Idee dieses Produkt zu entwickeln.Eine Hai-Begegnung hatte ich nicht in Florida. Allerdings war ich „ nur „ schwimmen und konnte nicht sehen, was da so unter mir los war- bzw.in meiner Nähe. Ich hatte es am Fußknöchel getragen. Würde in tropischen Gewässern OHNE nicht mehr ins Wasser gehen und werde mir noch welche für meine Family kaufen.

I like the design, it's lite enough to not bother you when your popping up as i wear it on my ankle. I use it diving and wear it on my wrist and feel confident enough. Its resilient, easy to take off but I'm confident that it wont fall off. Over all a great product and haven't seen a shark yet".
