Big Coverage, Strong Netting
Less worrying about missed shots going beyond the goal! This lacrosse goal net backstop has extended net coverage that measures nearly 3 feet on each side, so you can take full-strength shots for optimal shooting development. The net can also be adjusted to provide a rebound of balls back toward the player or loosen the net tension for the dead stop of lacrosse balls and hockey pucks.

Easy Installation
Our lacrosse goal target backstop net can be easily installed with its strong adjustable mounting brackets that fit many different pipe diameters. Simply turn the knob to tighten the cable and clamp the bracket to the pipe for an extremely strong connection. Plus, it can be attached to both 4ft x 4ft and 6ft x 6ft lacrosse and hockey goal pipe frames!
- Install the brackets.
- Install the poles.
- Hook the netting to pole tops, and lace the net into the goal netting using lacing tubes.
- Fill and attach the net weights.
Note: Lacrosse or hockey goals are not included.

Works really well once put up and cover a nice area around the goal. However, assembly is a very lengthy process and directions are hard to follow. It doesn't want to stay completely upright and weight bags do nothing for support.

First one sent was missing a net and was obviously used. Still haven’t received a replacement and now shipping is delayed. Not impressed. 5/15 Update: Replacement was undeliverable because the package was damaged. No refund yet.

I ordered the Shag Stop after seeing one that my friend and team mate has been using for the last few months and was impressed by how well it worked and how much better it made shooting training. First, don’t pay attention to the review saying it doesn’t come with directions. There is a multipage instruction pamphlet with color photos and a instruction video on YouTube. It takes at most 40 minutes to set up but is simple. The one we received looks to have some improvements from the one our friends have. First our newer one has solid fiberglass poles (with sections that screw together) which seem like they will be much stronger than the poles in the one they have where the pole sections are connected by an elastic cord runnung through the center of the hollow fiberglass pole sections, like tent poles. I think this is a big improvement.Also our net is different than my friend's and competitor's. The string it is made with is thicker and the intersections that make the little squares in the net are stitched together rather than knotted. I have seen some knotted nets come “unraveled” some when a string breaks on reviews for other nets. The way this net is made seems smarter. Our friend also needed to find some sand to fill the long weight bags that weigh down the netting on each side, ours came with two long water bladders that we just filled with water and slid into the special sleave/tube thing that attaches to the net.Overall the performance is great! The way the backstop not only stops the ball but rebounds the ball slightly back to you after you shoot is just awesome and a huge time and hassle saver.Being able to shoot harder without as much worry of missing the goal has quickly made a big difference in how hard and accurate we can shoot. I wanted a folding type and we can easily pull the poles out of the brackets that hold them to quickly collapse the whole backstop, fold the goal and lean it up against the house if we aren’t going to use it for a while. All in all this product is improving our lacrosse skills, is saving us from losing balls (or damaging our garage siding!) and is clearly well made, easy to install and to store. To me, This net seems like a great value and def. the one to buy.

This backstop is a very good design and concept. If setup as a ball stop/return the netting and flexibility of the poles allow missed shots to be “returned” back towards front of goal and easily found.This has allowed my boys to each have a bucket of balls and just take shot after shot and really allow the muscle memory to build up and dial in their accuracy.However.. Being able to do what i described has also blown at least 20 holes in the netting and broken two of the small poles in around 5 months. I couldn’t even begin to tell you how many shots have be taken, probably 5k plus between my two sons plus feral roaming teammates that stop by to have a bucket of shots.Caveat of this is, these are high school players and are shooting hard and killing this thing. Younger players with less time and reps will probably last forever.Overall I think the increased number of reps they can get in, and the decreased amount of lost balls is worth it. Just don’t expect it to last very long if used hard.Edit; Company warranty the broken poles no questions ask, so the company definitely stands by their product.

We us Shagstop on a lacrosse goal at our house with excellent results. We have found it keeps my son and his teammates shooting for way longer not having to chase down balls, and have more fun. It also teaches them to shoot on the pipe without fear of having to run down your ball. Definitely some thought was put into the build of this product as the parts are high quality in the way they attach to the cage. I am a big fan of things that keep kids off their screens and this is one of them for sure it keeps them pumped on Practicing their shooting skills. Five star. Watch the video to install it is super helpful as it takes a minute. Play sports don’t watch them.

Best lacrosse back stop! My daughter has been increasing her power shots and before we got the Shag Stop, lost many ball. This device, when setup, prevents this! The directions included were very thorough and the you tube video so helpful! Definitely give it a try! Worth every penny!

Nicely packaged , wonderful laminated note from the founder , Jeff k, thanking me and offering help, a sticker was also included. You know what isn’t included???? Instructions. Hidden behind the ‘free sticker’ was “search shaq stop installation in you tube”. Seriously, you couldn’t be bothered to include a one page simple instruction sheet????? Poorly thought out poorly executed strategy. As to product? Don’t know if it is any good , looks well made, the pieces are still in a pile in the field next to the goal where there is no reception to watch a video to tell me how it goes together .
