These are actually better then original. This product has metal loops for your rod to raise an lower the shades where the original ones are plastic. Very impressive.I will buy again to change out all my other ones.

I have a coolaroo wind up shade outside and in the AZ sun, the plastic piece that the crank connects to snapped this summer. This replacement piece is PERFECT! 15 dollar replacement that seems like it will last for many summers instead of buying a new shade for 150 and having to replace it yet again because they still use plastic parts. Best Amazon find recently by far

I replaced fatigued plastic withthis metal one, drive unit is all metal, should outlast original. Fit was perfect, shipping was really fast, price was right.
