It surprises me that most people don't know what this is for, but it works and is a good price.

I work at a machine shop and I use blue layout all the time. My boss always buys the Dykem Blue layout spray for the shop and I usually would just use whatever he buys. But other workers never put those cans back in place and I always have a hard time finding them. So I decided to buy my own can.Dykem layout fluid will cost close to $30 while Seymour layout fluid cost almost 1/3 of what you would pay for Dykem. And it's doing an excellent job for what I need. Why would I spend almost triple what I spend to buy this? It doesn't make any sense. If you use blue layout a lot at work, I highly recommend you trying this out. If you end up not liking it, you're out a few bucks. But if you ended up liking it like I did, you'd be saving a lot of money going forward.

This stuff sprays on easily and produces a nice, dark surface. It scratches clean, easy to follow lines.
