I'm still trying to air out this case, but need to get it back in the sun on another warm day soon. It has one of the worst smells I've encountered with fiber or composition related products I've purchased on Amazon.Other than this, the bag is actually well thought out and designed. It will be a shame if I can't use it for my new sewing machine, but I won't want to store anything in this like fabric pieces or threads that are related to sewing projects. The odor has dissipated a little since airing it out one full day, but even with all the pockets unzipped and interior of the bag spread out while inside the house, it should have improved more by now.It seems like a small technicality for the overall storage use, but when you are talking about something that you will be working with regularly, it really is a bigger deal than not. Hopefully I can update with better prognosis after another few weeks, but if the odor doesn't improve by much, I will use this bag for storing some of my bulkier construction tools. Just nothing that will be used in contact with cloth and other craft fibers. :(

Considering the weather out here I really need this to keep my stuff as dry as possible. It almost feels like a lunch cooler in a way. My only gripe is that it doesn't have a hard bottom but I'm sure I can figure something out with it and it does have a nice pocket in the back.The vibrant color is very promising as it matches the picture and my needs greatly. I'm only concerned that I won't be able to do any more decorating on top of the material considering the type of material that it is, but, you can't have everything right? Still, I enjoy the container very much as I needed something to put away my machines and keep them nice and dry and dust free. I think this will do just that and I just need to get a trolley for it next to put underneath it so I can carry this and cart this around without having to keep it underneath my arm.

I have a second hand Singer Classic that is unaccountably still working after years of rather hard use, but the awful factory dust cover has proven no protection against my kittens and toddlers. This case, however, does a great job! I had thought that it might be much too large, but it actually fits perfectly. The pedal and cords fit inside, and there’s still room for a few basics like scissors, pins, bobbins, etc.The one thing I didn’t like about this case is that it had a distinctly unpleasant odor when first opened, like chemicals crossed with cigarettes. However, the smell went away after a short airing.I probably won’t ditch my old trusty tool box full of spools of thread, but I do quite like being able to tote around my sewing basics in this. Plus, since all the modern sewing machines are pretty much the same size, I will be able to upgrade my machine in the future and still use this bag.

This bag/carrying case is roomy and has lots of pockets to organize notions, patterns, and fabric.There are pockets inside and outside of the case. Some of the inner pockets are clear for a quick view of contents and zip up to prevent things from falling out. One of the inside compartments has mesh pockets which I use for thread and cutting apparatus. Most pockets have zippers. The zippers are smooth and open and close with ease, as the saying goes, ‘like butter.’I’m using this bag for my Kenmore machine model# 385.17828490. There is room to spare for the foot pedal and power cord in the main compartment. My machine measures approximately 16 x 12.5 x 7This case replaces my old sewing machine bag of the same size but with fewer pockets. I included pictures for comparison. The bag has some weight to it and the handles are sturdy for carrying the case once it’s filled with the machine and other sewing items. There is a long carrying strap which I haven’t tried yet so I can’t make recommendations on it. Final comments would be, if you have difficulty carrying the machine alone look for something with wheels. This is a carry case and once loaded gets heavy. That’s not a negative feature, it’s a recommendation for my fellow sewists who travel with their gear, like me. I have a sewing business called Vandysue on FB and Vandysuellc on Instagram.

Just opened this sewing machine carrying case and I’m very impressed with the structure of this case and the strength of the carrying straps. The case easily fits my Singer HD 4452 with extra space and so many pockets! I was worried that the excess space would mean my machine would flop around when using the shoulder strap; however, it didn’t move an inch when I walked around the house. The outside of the case is canvas and the inside is a thin vinyl. The fabrics have a thick, flexible batting (foam maybe?) that provides structure. The bottom is reinforced and has rubber feet.Everything is perfect, but I do have one issue—which might be more of a storage issue than an item complaint—which is the smell. The case arrived wrapped in a plastic bag like many items do to keep products clean. The case itself appears clean, but it smells like smoke. The smell reminds me of an old ashtray, and a family member said it’s like a melted plastic to them. I have the case airing out and will give it wipe down to get rid of the smell.Again, I think the smell issue is more of a storage issue than a manufacturer issue because the case itself is perfect. I’m hopeful that an airing out and a light scrub will fix it. I’m excited to get it packed with my sewing materials!

The bag seems decent quality. I was very excited to open it. However, the second I opened the plastic bag it was in, I was beat in the face with the smell of smoke... specifically cigarette smoke & burning plastic. It smells like someone chainsmoked an entire pack of cigarettes while making this thing, let lit the bag next to it on fire and let it burn. I'm going to try to see if the smell will go away if I air it out, but if not, it's going back. I can't keep that in my linen closet.
