I purchased these for a craft project. These would work well on something that wont be touched often or even ever. The silver coating chips and scratches very easily because these are plastic.

So we used spirit gum and glued these onto my boyfriends head. He is bald, so it was really great and everyone wanted to touch and feel the spikes. We cut the shape we wanted with scissors and this accessory was a hit at the party.
