The shelving was relatively easy to assemble. Both the rack and bins are very sturdy. I'm pleased with this purchase.

Easy assm. without any outside help. One heads-up, though. The instructions don't tell you that there's afront and back to the shelves, and I wasn't paying attention---thought they were generic. Got six of the seven on before I realized my mistake and had to disassemble four shelves to correct it. But it didn't takelong to correct. Haven't put it to use yet, but it seems pretty sturdy and has heavy duty casters, so it'll movearound easily in my garage. Should help a lot in organizing my assorted "stuff". Very satisfied so far!

This product is great. We are using it for our 5 year old daughter to organize her clothes. We attached a dirty close bag to the side of the rack. Now, she can roll it to the laundry room, and with a bit of help, do her own laundry. Then, when complete, she’s able to roll/fold and put away right there then roll the unit back to her closet! She can see her clothes and with the aid of a small step — can keep everything organized and neat. It’s perfect for everything!

Last year I got the 8-tier model and was thrilled with how much junk it can get organized. This 7-tier model has one less row and is slightly less tall. It fits nicely under a shelf in a closet where the 8-tier model is a bit too tall to fit. It seems the only color option for this 7-tier model is silver shelf with grey bins (it's actually a silver-grey pewter color, not bright chrome as it looks in the official photos). The 8-tier models come in either silver shelf with blue bins, or black shelf with yellow bins. If you have the vertical space, I'd recommend getting the 8-tier model even though it's a bit more expensive, simply for the additional storage bins - you can never have too much storage space. This one has two rows each of large, medium and small bins, but you can also get one with two rows of large and four medium (no small). It's not really visible in the official photos but the grey plastic bins are in 3 shades of grey: the large bins are a bit darker than the medium ones, and the small ones are a bit lighter than the medium ones. A neat, subtle touch. Two sizes of labels are included if you wish to label the bins. The whole shelf comes in one big box approx 1 x 1.5 x 3.5' (going by memory) and is pretty heavy (estimating about 50-60 lbs). Assembly takes about 20-30 minutes, it can be done with 1 person but better to have a helper (the shelf is wobbly & fragile until you get a few racks in place).Assembly tip 1: two of the 4 wheels are locking-type...so before starting assembly, decide which side of the shelf you want to locate them (usually the front so you can easily access the brakes to put them on or off). You can use this shelf without the wheels but it might scratch the floor.Assembly tip 2: the shelf clips might slide down out of their locking groove/detent as you push the rack down onto them (some reviewers had this problem). Hold onto each one firmly while pushing the shelf down on it, one at a time. Once they are seated properly, the shelf pressing down keeps them firmly locked in place. Lifting the shelf up unlocks them. You can get replacement clips here on amazon, if needed. The wire racks are specifically designed to work with these bins; if you try to use these bins on an another regular wire shelf, they won't slide in & out smoothly, nor will they hang down at an angle when they are pulled halfway out, as they do with this shelf (a clever & useful design feature). For this reason, simply buying these bins individually and using them on another regular wire shelf, won't work as well.

My only regret about this WONDERFUL storage unit is that I didn't purchase it sooner. I can't say enough about this unit...it has transformed my garage. The clutter is all but gone. Neat. Organized. I know where stuff is now. Well built. Durable. Plastic bins are solid. I just love this unit. Yes, I know it's a bit pricey...I thought that too...but now that I have it...I'm glad I purchased this unit. Very EASY to assemble too. Make sure you keep both locking wheels in the front and shelf back on the opposite side or you will be taking it apart to fix it. I know, haha.

All due deference to the negative reviews- which are wrong- this is a really good product for storing a lot of stuff, being able to move it around, in really attractive, well-designed storage bins.I have one criticism. The round plastic pieces used as wedges to hold the shelves in place slip, making it hard to secure the first level shelf. Once you get the other levels in place, the weight keeps them seated, but until then, it can take some patience to get them seated. If you don't have patience, don't buy ANY product that requires assembly. The quality on this was very good- sturdy, clean, and well constructed.

I just finished assembling my second of these babies. Can't say enough about the quality and excellent design. But, it is more difficult to assemble than the directions would lead you to believe. Actually, once you get the first (bottom) shelf on, it is a breeze, but that first one is tough. I'd like to share some enhancements to the directions that worked very well for me.1) The directions say to screw the top and bottom halves of the poles together first. Don't do this. Put together the bottom half of the cart first. Then screw on the top poles to proceed with the upper shelves. Makes the beginning assembly a little easier.2) It is very hard to put the bottom shelf on without the plastic retaining rings slipping off and flying around the room. What I did was first duct tape the 4 retaining rings on the poles. You only cover about a 1/4" of the bottom of the plastic ring. Then everything stays together when you assemble that troublesome first shelf. I left the duct tape on there because it doesn't harm anything. Works great.3) The directions suggest that you use a rubber mallet to tap-down the shelves securely. Good idea. I used the heel of my hand to pound down slightly, that works too.Like I said I think the design is excellent. Those plastic retaining rings seem a little strange at first, but they work great. They snap in place seemingly magically.
