This review is in 2 parts as the carry bag is really an essential component of tripod use - nobody is going to carry around their 2 tripods without a carry bag of some sort (IMHO). Therefore it is reviewed as well.BAG: Pic 1 is showing the divider inside the single bag zipper compartment. It prevents the two poles from scraping on each other and removing the black painted surface. Pic 2 is displaying the relatively short zipper length. It makes it a bit awkward to place the poles in the bag. It is useable, but a bit difficult. Pic 3 is the bare carry straps. It is customary to provide a Velcro wrap for the two straps to make it easier to grab, instead of searching for both straps, but not here. HOWEVER, most suppliers of tripods do not supply ANY bag at all. Heavy duty tripod bags are sold on Amazon for $50, and this one is INCLUDED. It is nowhere near as rugged as an Ultimate Stand Bag that is professional/turing quality, but once again - is not an extra charge. If you take care of it, it will probably last a few years.TRIPODS: The upper joint is held together with rivets (pics 4-5). All are well formed and even. Spacing is generous to make opening and closing unrestricted. The main collar for the riveted section is solid cast (pic 6) heavy-duty aluminum with an insert of hard plastic or nylon to enable smooth sliding of the center (pic 7) pole. DO NOT UNSCREW THE MAIN TIGHTENING THUMB SCREW! If you do unscrew it all the way, the semi-circular friction stop will fall out the bottom! It is difficult to re-align and put the screw back in after pushing the main plastic/nylon collar insert (pic 10) back up into the aluminum housing. MY ONLY SAFETY COMPLAINT - there is no marking on the bottom of the pole, immediately above the last hole in the upper tube. Therefore, if you have a speaker on the pole, and you are raising the pole while someone else is going to place the pin in the LAST hole, and you GUESS wrong as to whether or not you are at the bottom-most hole...whoops the pole comes out of the tripod base...with the speaker still on top of the pole! It should be marked with a scribe line, or red paint line. Pic 11 is the last, or first hole. The pole is uniform and can be turned around - as you can see, there's not a lot of distance from the last hole and the end of the pole. There are end caps on both sides. The tightening collar in pic 12 is permanently tightened on the bottom half, and the top adjustable compression to hold the upper pole in place uses a screw with a partial square shank in pic 14 to make it easy to tighten. Maximum tripod height 6', 1-1/2" and the minimum (why you would place a speaker at this height is beyond me) is 3', 8". The inner pole cannot fall out the bottom, and is fully supported by the well crafted bottom support in pic 13, using captive nuts and screws.I have 12 Ultimate tripods and 6 Ultimate tripod bags used almost every week - but, I REALLY like these poles and are very, very competitively priced for the quality.....but don't forget to scribe a line!

These were a disappointment. Were they half the price, I would expect the quality of materials that went into them, namely very thin metal and two clamping assemblies that do not instill long-term confidence. But these are overpriced for what they are.I would not take these out to any sort of gig, even a small one--just too risky. I have found a use for them though: I mounted a pair of relatively light Harbinger 15" powered PA speakers on them in my rehearsal space that I'm putting together, and they seem to be holding them solidly. They're out of the way enough that nothing will come near them, and they're pretty much "set and forget." I wouldn't try anything heavier though, like my 2000w primary mains.

These speaker stands are sturdy and easy to adjust, making them a reliable choice for gigs. The height range is versatile, and the carry bag makes them easy to transport. They’ve held up well with my PA speakers, and the locking mechanisms feel secure. A practical option for anyone needing portable and heavy-duty speaker stands.

These are awesome speaker stands! I love the fact they have a bag where they are easy to carry and stay protected. They are lightweight but they are sturdy and work perfectly. They are also compact, so they don't occupy much space in my trunk. I totally recommend these!

These stands are strong and sturdy. They are made well and have really good tightning bolts. However, the included carrying bag is cheaply made. The zipper broke the first day. These are good stands but I would not buy them if you're expecting a quality carrying bag.

These appear to be perfect for very light gigging or for a static installation. I think they would not stand up to touring, but if you are only moving them a few times a month they will last a long time.I am confident putting 60 lb speakers on them with little kids running around. I would order again.

They hold up the speakers. That’s what I bought them for.
