This 1.7 liter Retro modern minimalist electric kettle is very nice looking. It has a window showing the measured water amount, it has an automatic shut off, and an on/off switch, plus an indicator light when it is turned on. The creamy beige color and design has an upscale look. With that said, the quality of the kettle is "less than" the kettle and base are too lightweight. Looking inside the kettle it has a tinny look and feel. The quality of the stainless steel seems to be of a thinner guage. The inside of the kettle is of a lesser quality, cools very quickly after heating, and most important it is not identified as made from food grade stainless steel. The price is consistent with a good quality item but that is not what you get.

The Retro Serv Electric Kettle is a great blend of vintage vibes and modern convenience. It boils water quickly, and the swivel base makes it easy to handle whether you’re right or left-handed. The water level indicator is a nice touch, so you don't have to worry about overfilling.

I love Serv products and this does not dissapoint. It's so easy to use, just fill it up, plug it in and press the button down. It's large so you'll be able to make quite a few cup of tea or whatever beverage you're using it for. I also use it for ramen and any instant noodles. Be sure to read the instructions and unplug after each use.Highly recommend

Love the retro look of this kettle! It takes about 7 minutes to boil 1.7 liters (about 1/2 gallon) water. I like that I can boil water in this and then fill my fancy china teapot, and then refill and boil again while serving the first pot to guests. I like that when the water has fully boiled, the kettle automatically turns off. Water does stay hot for quite a while in the pot though. If I want to, I can hit the power switch again, and the kettle will start up and rapidly re-boil the water in a very short period of time and then turn off again. It's a handy tool to have if you are traveling too and don't have access to a stove for boiling water. It's also nice that it does not have that annoying whistle that a stovetop kettle makes. Good for boiling water while others in the hotel room may be sleeping.

I love how this Servappetit Retro Serv Electric Kettle looks — that cream color gives it a nice nostalgic vibe that fits perfectly in my kitchen. It’s exactly like the pictures, which is always a win. Boiling water with this kettle is so much faster than using the stove, which is great when you need a quick cup of tea or pour-over coffee. The 1.7L size is perfect for my family, and the clear water level indicator makes it easy to see how much I’m boiling — in both cups and liters, which is super handy. While I’m not a lefty, the 360˚ swivel base is perfect for guests who might be—making pouring smooth and easy for everyone. Plus, the one-touch operation means no fuss, and the automatic shut-off gives me peace of mind that I won’t accidentally leave it on. I also love that it’s made of stainless steel, one of the safest materials for tea kettles (along with borosilicate glass). Stainless steel is inert and stable, so it won’t react with the water or release toxins, even at high temps. The kettle is hand wash only, but that’s a small price for peace of mind. It’s energy-efficient too, so I’m happy knowing I’m saving a bit on electricity compared to boiling water on the stove. Overall, this kettle has become a little everyday hero in our busy household — quick, safe, and stylish!

For years I have been making sweet tea at home. We had a machine that automatically brews tea, but my husband broke it. Instead of replacing the machine, I bought a kettle for the stove and went old school. I have been eyeing an electric brewer for a few months now and I ran across this retro looking kettle. The look of this kettle fits my style, and I liked the idea of not having to turn on my stovetop during the summer months. We have been talking about getting an RV soon and I think it would be something easy to take with us on trips as well. When the kettle arrived, I could hardly wait to see how it worked. I read through the instructions and ran a few batches of water through it. I could not believe how fast this kettle warmed up. In about 1 minute I had hot water. On the side it has a built-in water gauge, so you don't let it run low or over fill. The Kettle is turned on with just a push of the button at the bottom. There is a red light that comes on when it brews and it turns itself off too! The handle did not get hot, but the kettle itself is very warm (FYI). I love it and will be using it not only to make gallon size tea. It is so easy to use, and I can make a quick single tea, instant coffee, or coco anytime!I feel that this is a quality piece of kitchen equipment, and the price is comparable to other similar kettles. I hope to get tons of use out of it in the years to come!
