I used this product as a Hail Mary last shot. I had 3 professionals look at my leach field and tell me it was “over saturated” and “needed to be replaced” costing a minimum of $20k. Our d-box was in a constant state of overflowing. I ordered this product and put it directly into the d-box and used a hose to push it through the lines. Within 24 hours the standing water underground in our leach field (as shown in pics above) was totally eliminated and the d-box was 100% pushing the water through the septic leach field lines with no standing water. I am a customer for LIFE! I will definitely be buying some of their maintenance products.

Spent 20 years treating my tank monthly, unaware that I didn't have a conventional leach field like all of my neighbors (perforated pipes on a gravel bed). Instead, I have an "Infiltrator" system using large open bottomed half pipes that rest directly on dirt and develop biomat, a hard crust that builds on the ground from phosphates and salts over time. These types of systems are supposed to be treated yearly for biomat but I didn't know I had it. This product claims to break down biomat so I've purchased it twice now. Both times, per the manufacturer instructions, I have drained the tank, dug up the distribution box, and added this product directly to the Infiltrator lines. So far, no results. The field isn't growing any differently than the rest of the yard and the tank is still overflowing when full. Obviously the ground is still crusted and not allowing liquids to soak in. Most reviews said it worked after 1 or 2 treatments, a few people said 3. I'm hesitant to buy it again after seeing no results at all so far.

I had a blocked drainfield pipe and my septic was filling up with water but not draining properly. I even had it pumped. It still was not draining ,so my husband and I took a funnel and put a long hose on the end of it and fed it into the stopped up drainfield pipe as far as it would go and slowly poured the entire bottle into the main line drain pipe. A few days later my septic was draining properly. It's still drying properly even after a month. Would highly recommend product.

For the past 20 years when I've had our septic pumped there has always been some back-flow from the fields back into the tank. Because of this all the reports said, "leach fields appear to be failing". I knew this couldn't be true because we've never had a backup into the house and we have always had our tank pumped during the winter when we've had a lot of rain. Though I was sure it wasn't failing, I knew it was slow. This past June we had our system pumped again with the same results which left us in a bit of a panic because we wanted to list our home for sale, but with a failing leach system we wouldn't be able to get the full value for our home. Enter "Septic Flow Shock". My husband did some research and decided to give this product a try. We purchased enough to directly shock our 4 leach fields as well as adding some to our distribution box about 4 weeks ago. Today we had the septic service company come out and put our system through the required tests for certification. IT PASSED WITH FLYING COLORS!!!! What!!!??? Our leach fields were put through a stress test using 250 gallons of pressurized water injected into the fields from the distribution box with NO BACK FLOW, first time in 20 years!!!!! Is it worth giving Septic Flow Shock a try....100%!!! I swear by this product now and will into the future! Worth every penny and saved us thousands on a new field and having to replace all the landscaping as well.

This was mainly for my dry well that my soft water regen line goes to. Over the years it has slowly become worse with overflowing, due to the salts that creates the hard-pan/dead-pan. It's been ~6 days after treatment and my unit regened on that 6th day. Dry well still overflowed as before prior to this treatment, so no improvement yet. I'll see if any better next regen cycle, being this product takes more than a week to effectively work? I only used a gallon of treatment in my small dry well in relation to a 1500 gallon septic system this product was designed for.The other three gallons I used in my septic system as a preventable measure/maintenance semi-shock treatment. Two gallons directly into my effluent line going to D-box and field lines. Remaining gallon was poured into my tank, since I already had the lid off. Last thing I want is a failed drain field in the future.Strong sulfur odor when using, which is no surprise being what the ingredient is and is somewhat expensive for what it is in my opinion. Results TBD, hence only 3 stars. I'll update and change my rating if my dry well stops over flowing.-edit- 8/8/2019. Dry well hasn't overflowed last few regen cycles. Takes awhile to work on dead-pan, but it works. Upgraded to 5 stars.

The three star rating is mostly based on the fact that if you don't read and figure out just how many of these you need to purchase to be used as designed you will be way short of what is required.Once I can order another 5 of these and apply as required I will do another review.
