The brass Fahnestock clips of 70-100 yrs ago had a solder tab on them. These modern ones do not. But they are still quite usable for laying out parts on a piece of wood. Vintage hobby tube circuits etc.

If you need these clips for a small electronic or radio project keep looking elsewhere. These are the thinnest most worthless excuse for this type of clip I've ever come on and was incredibly disappointed. They're slightly better than nothing but in reality save yourself some frustration and just buy a set of binding posts at least then you can use banana plugs or bare wires. They're smaller than the normal size of clip and don't have the springiness of a good quality clip. These are mass produced Chinese junk with little to no quality control.

When you're old (which I am), and when you delight in building "vintage" electronics (as I do), there is no substitute for old fashioned fahenstock clips. These are exactly what I was looking for. reliable, inexpensive..., just the sort of thing one wants to KNOW are in the parts box, when the urge to try a variation on a particular crystal set rears it's ugly head. Highly recommended.
