These are thicker than the other sensory tiles I've purchased. The patterns have deeper grooves. This may be off putting for some kids, but because ours are sensory seekers, they quite prefer it. The extra height means there's more liquid in these tiles which means they are quite "sloshy" when you steal on them.

I love the bright colors and seeing the colors mix and move in the tile. It's engaging for our 8-month-old twins to watch and play with on their tummies. The surface is textured though and has a hard finish, so it is not very comfortable for crawling on or kneeling on. I think this is great for older kids who need the tactile feel as well as the visual stimulation. The tiles are well padded with non-slip backs and stay in place well. They work well on hard wood floors don't move much.
