Purchased an 840 10 years ago and loved it! Updated to the 860 and battery died in six months. Sitting here on Fathers Day weekend unable to get any support or information from Sennheiser or Amazon. In 4 days "if" I can get information on why, I will probably have to send it off and wait another week? Seriously terrible support.

The VA sent these to me due to my hearing issues and my GF complaining of the tv blairing while she was trying to sleep. The base needs to be near the tv to connect the optical cable that was included. I can turn the tv volume down and the volume up on the device. Problem solved, I no longer have to sleep on the couch!!If you're a veteran talk with the audio dept and schedule a hearing test, explain the volume issues between you and your spouse and they should issue you a set.

Just what my husband needed to clearly hear tv programs without having the volume turned up as high as it will go. I love it as much as he does!

The first time I used them (I bought 2) they worked for a few minutes and stopped. I attributed this to not being fully charged. The next time they did not work at all. I wander if having 2 on the same TV makes it impossible for them to sync to the base units.

did not like being charged to return this product. thought amazon didn't charge for returns.nothing wrong with the product. ear buds hurt my ears and i couldn't use them.
