Definitely worth the price, holds up nicely while using and I like the fit of it. Not very combersome, light weight and sturdy. Still using it almost daily without any problems.

Bifocals made it semi impossible to use the standard gas welding goggles. Also a pain to switch from welding to grinding without knocking off my glasses. These work great. I take the welding lens off (2 screws) and use them for other work around the shop

It work well on my head. Just need to tighten the side of the front cover so you can keep it up when you need to . Not sure how durable it is cause I have not drop it since I bought it cause I try to be careful. It was place in a nice box and sealed well . The delivery was awesome and took care of it and left it infront of our door.

Fast delivery... but the helmet came used... I bought a new helmet... there is scratches on it like it’s been used for several months. This is unfair that I payed the full price for something used.

Definitely not what it was designed for, but in these times, this has been perfect in my dental office. Regular face shields flare out at the bottom, which left my chin/neck area exposed. This welding face shield angles and curves inward offering far superior protection. The shaded flip top and it's hinge was completely removable. I have set it aside, and covered the screw holes.I have been using it 3 days/week for a month. It has held up well despite repetitive use of disinfectant wipes; no fogging, no scratches. My loupes and n95 mask fit well under it. At the end of the day, I have terrible hat hair but I do not feel tired from wearing it. I have a small nick on it (staff bumped it into diamond drill bit) waiting for replacement shields to be available. Very grateful to Sellstrom!

I never bought one of these before for shop. Love love love it!!Great safety. Lol I have for got a few time I was still wearing it when leaving shop.I would buy if your thinking of one.

Updated June 14, 2020:I know this is off label, but I am using this for airway management/intubations, and I LOVE it! Other face shields we had been using have no padding across the forehead and dig in, making it hard to keep on for extended time periods. This shield is very comfortable. A large bouffant OR cap fits over the whole top of this to help keep it clean. An N95 mask fits easily underneath this, and a small rectangular surgical paper blue drape with adhesive can be stuck across the lower part of the face shield to cover that last vulnerable area between the bottom of the shield and the top of an isolation gown, so I finally feel remotely safe! The whole thing has mostly tolerated being wiped down after each use with sanitizing wipes, and although sometimes looks a little streaky, the polycarbonate is solid and easier to see through than our standard issue flimsy face shield OR masks. Much less glare with this shield!***(Update: Be careful with the sanitizing wipes... after 2 months of heavy use and cleaning of mine, the anti fog coating crystallized from the sanitizing wipes, so rinse it with clear water after sanitizing... might save the coating longer. I have had to scrape off the crystallized stuff - still usable but annoying for sure!)I waited for ~4 weeks to get this one. It took over 2 months for the model without the flip-up tinted shield that I had originally ordered to arrive, but in the interim, it was easy to remove the green piece from this one, & it’s identical to the 32010 once you do. At the time, it was worth the extra money just to finally get a good shield. I have both this one and the 32010, which I gave to a colleague who needed it. If the 32010 clear face shield model is in stock, that’s all we need for protection during airway management, but this one is also great if those run out. Keep making these... lots of anesthesiologists and intensivists I know would still love to get one! Thank you for this product.

I had written a review of this face shield and thought it was not suitable for gas welding mainly because the #5 shade was not wide enough to cover the field of view but after using it a few times I realized I was wrong and there's a way of adjusting it so you can comfortably see through the #5 shade.I now believe this face shield can be a very capable shield and very comfortable to use, if you spend a few minutes and fine tune the headband adjustment.I now give it 5 stars and highly recommend it for gas welding, if I ever damage or scratch the shield(s) , I will not hesitate to order the replacement part(s) from this company, it is well made, comfortable and easy to adjust/use.

Awesome shield for all around metal working. I am a welder and have been using this for a couple months now. This hood has taken some abuse and performed with zero problems. The flip down shade makes it a breeze to use. I use it alot more for grinding also, especially with cut off wheels. The coverage its gives is amazing, and it makes you feel safe. Considerably comfortable to wear for long periods of time also. Great product will recommend and buy again.

This is a comfortable, well thought out design with extra face protection due to the clear shield. The lens flip system works consistently and is easy to use. The headpiece assembly keeps the clear shield fixed. This is nearly all plastic construction, which is light weight. If the shade five flip lens came in magnifying versions, this would get five stars. This is a nice piece of kit and can be used for grinding, cutting, and gas welding.
