Grandkids wanted us to pull a tube and skis behind the boat. This made it possible. Happy kids

The rope is strong. Good diameter. End hooks are stainless steel and sturdy. Tow attachment point is also stainless and heavy. This tow rope needs a float at the centre attachment point.

We used these to hook up an inflated towable to our boat. We had 400 lbs of people on the towable and these boat tow harnesses handled the load with ease. Very secure hold with the nice metal locking mechanism which allows for greater peace of mind. The only drawback is that they will sink in water. (They do not float.) These tow harnesses are also great for hooking up to kayaks and pulling them in the water. Highly recommend.

I like the foam floater better than the plastic ones that crack and sink. The clasps are easy to manipulate. Well worth the price

My son loves this tow harness. Says it is way sturdier than his old one. Chalk one up for Mom.

Tested when waterskiing. The standard 3/8 PP rope fit this harness perfectly. The roll of pulley during waterskiing seemed smooth. The harness floats on water.Does not interfere with the work or turning of outboard motor.Does not get into the propeller area.Does not rub the outboard cowl.Nothing broke.Don't know how long it will last, so far satisfied.

I have used this a few times. It works well and seems well made. And yes it sinks but it hangs below the prop. you can add a float or piece of pool noodle to the front of the row rope if your worried about it getting into the prop.

When I first received the item I noticed that it was missing the small float that is really important to keep the pulley from sinking in the water. If this happens the rope could potentially get caught in your propeller. If you receive one without a float get two pool noodles. Not my idea as I’ve read other reviews for other harnesses and they said that’s what they did. We bought two noodles, I cut a slit straight down both of them so the rope could slide over then I took electrical tape and taped them close so they won’t come off. It really worked well. I’m my opinion this setup might even work better because the rope didn’t come in contact with the motor. The noodles did instead. Which is a little more forgiving in respect to scratching the finishing/ paint on the motor when pivoting left to right. I have a Havoc DBST17 duck boat with a 60 outboard Merc. The transom loops are kinda to the inside of the boat close to the motor. This made it even more important to have the noodles. There is no way this would have worked without the noodles or the float that was supposed to be included. The rope seemed to be strong and well made. So did the pulley. The hooks could have be a little bigger as they barely fit around the transom loops. Should have been 5 stars but missing the float and transom hooks need to be a little bigger. 4 stars

We purchased this to pull a 3 person tube behind our pontoon boat. We previously used the harness that attached to the tube rope with a red plastic piece- these harnesses did not hold up at all as we snapped the plastic piece off of 2 of these in 2 years. Not only does this harness seem so much more durable, but 1) it is much easier to attach to the boat due to the larger attachments and 2) the pulley system allows the tube to glide on the water with much greater speed. The only negative is that the part that attaches to the tube rope is much heavier and sinks down by the rotor of the motor when the boat is stopped- we solved this problem by threading pieces of a noodle along both sides of the rope between where it attaches to the boat and and the centered pulley system. So far this harness seems well worth the more expensive price.
