There's nothing like adding freshly cut herbs to a culinary dish. Cilantro is grown as an annual herb, serving its purpose for one growing season. The plants themselves will grow to a mature height of roughly 24 to 30 inches tall and about 12 inches wide. Cilantro is a must when it comes to making salsa's and is popularly used in many Mexican dishes. Its flat, Parsley like leaves can be harvested in roughly 60 to 90 days. If sown every two weeks this packet will provide enough plants to last all season long plus some.

I bought these for growing cilantro in the winter. I have a small hydroponic herb garden (similar to an aero garden.)At first, I couldn't get these seeds to germinate, so I did a little research. Here's what you want to do for cilantro: Cilantro seeds have a hard outer shell. Inside that shell are actually TWO seeds. So, wet a paper towel (not dripping wet, but not merely damp, either.) Place your desired number of seeds in between the folded, wet paper towel, inside a ziploc baggie. Do not seal the baggie, though; it needs some air. Remember: each seed actually contains 2 seeds.)After a day or two, take a tweezers, and gently break open that seed pod. After a few more days, you should start to see each half sprouting a seedling. Once you see this, then you can transfer the seed to a hydroponic pod. These seeds produced nice cilantro plants, and, wow, fresh herbs are SO much better than anything store bought.

I bought these seeds in September. They sprouted quickly and then grew at a pretty slow rate. I was a bit concerned then, suddenly, they just took off, spouted up over 6 inches and even gave me little flowers! They look so pretty in the kitchen window.

They did germinate but they just couldn’t grow. It could’ve just been me in my soil but they didn’t work for me.
