They are relatively decent but the fasteners need some help. The two outside fit and function ok but the center tighting strap end need to be better. Of the four only one actually worked. The ends are actually too big to fit into the chain. I was able to use some bungee cord ends too get them to work but this issue needs to be addressed. As for moving they worked but I can tell they’re nowhere near a good quality traditional chain for deep snow or mud, on snowpack or ice I believe they’ll be fine

Before ordering I checked with Security Chain Company, the manufacturer to make sure I was ordering the correct one. They told me that the price should be $269/pair. SCC lists the ordering unit as a pair, and the weight on this model as 55 lbs/pair.Amazon lists the shipping weight as 60 lbs, about right after adding packaging weight. When I got the shipment it was a single chain, which is useless. The weight was about 30 lbs.I called Amazon customer service and the guy on the phone agreed with me that it was a mistake and should be a pair, but he could not send me another single one. He said I must return the first one and they would then send me a pair. He sent me an e-mail for the new order, but it still says the same thing, 1 piece.I really don't know what I will recieve on the second order, and he said it will take over a month because a hold was placed on this item because of ordering problems with other customers. He assumed that it was probably the same problem I had. Recieving a single instead of a pair. I would feel a lot more confident if someone from Amazon would send me a correctly worded order confirmation that clearly stated that I would recieve a pair.I rated it one star hoping to get someones attention. i think the chains themselve are good quality. I have used smaller ones on my pickup truck and they worked well and were easy to install. If Amazon would fix the quantity per order problem I would rate them as a 5.JohnC

I chose the 4 stars for the materials used and the fabrication. I would have give it 5 stars if I was able to try the product in a real situation going over a mountain pass with out any problems with the cables working the way they are designed to work.I found it a little difficult installing the first one, the second one went on much easier. Not sure how quick they will go on when I am lying in the cold and wet snow.I hope I dont ever have to use the cables.......these are for "Just in case" PEACE OF MIND.
