Would be nice if it came as a set as the description says… I only received one chain.

Fit great on my garden tractor. Was thinking needed more chains but this amount is perfect. I can even tow around my trailer now in the snow and ice.

Other than one cross chain being hooked on the other side of a link of the side chain than the rest ( which was easily fixed) these chains are nicely put together and fit perfectly over my ag tires.

My husband ordered these chains for his snow blower. It did the job. Held the traction on the rock tract driveway and the chains held the snowblower steady to clear the snow. Highly recommend.

I put them on my Powersmart snow blower tires. They were a little loose so I used my chain tighteners which has 4 metal springs with hooks I purchased separately. These were the smallest size chains I could find. It is my first time putting chains on anything so a more experienced person could probably get them tight enough so that you wouldn't need separate chain tighteners. It should be a lot easier to snow blow my yard now!

The seller shows the tire chains on a full size snow blower in their advertised picture but when you try to install them they only fit a dolly push cart . Take the time to view the picture that I provided . The blower is only an 8 HP and look at the chains .

I bought these back in September for my John Deere x300 series front tires. It’s 2wd but the front tires tend to slide sometimes when snow blowing so I bought these hoping they would help. I just now tried to install them (should’ve tested them earlier) and they don’t remotely fit my 15x6.00x6 front tires. The width is okay but they cover just barely half the tread. They seem well built and install like any standard chain but certainly don’t fit a 15x6.00x6

This review is for the 1062655 chain - 20x8x10 install on a cub cadet LT 1050 lawn tractor. Getting the chains on was tougher than it looks on the you tube videos, but I think its because they install them very loosely on those videos. I was able to install both chains on the lawn tractor in about 30 mins by letting most of the air out of the tires, installing the latch link to the 2nd link and using pliers to get the link hooked. Once I re-inflated them, they fit nice and tight and did not need the extra tensioners at all. The chain I received is a Peerless Chain Max-Trac tire chain. 4 link spacing. I ran them in about 6 inchs of wet snow and they did not do very well, on packed snow they were great. In hindsight I should have spent the extra money to get the 2 link spacing as I think that might work better for my application. The need for driving in snow is to pull a wagon full of wood from the barn to our house for the fireplace. I was able to do it with my son pushing in one spot of deeper snow where it got stuck. All in all they are very good quality chains and I am happy with the excellent price.

I really like these chains so far, and the price is unbeatable. I know some people have complained about their quick rusting, but really, they are tire chains??? Rust probably helps grip the ice and snow. The only thing I wish is that they have better size charts for their chains. I had to look all over the internet before I could finally figure out which of these chain sets to buy. But once I found them and after using them I would recommend them.

These chains were a bit tricky to install, as are most chains, but fit nicely and make all of the difference in traction on snow and ice. Not sure whether I needed chain tensioners but, distrusting the rubber bands with the plastic hooks, I picked up some springs at my local Ace Hardware to prevent possible slippage on the tires. The chains fit well enough that this might not have been necessary, but I would rather have them and not need them than need them and not have them. By the way, one of my concerns when shopping for chains was the minimal clearance between the inside edge of the tires and the body of the snow blower. The links on these chains are small enough that there is no problem with clearance, but are still large enough to provide plenty of traction. Need I add that the price is right on these bad boys?

As others have said, they are snow blower chains, shiny metal, then after a year, oxidized metal.I too, personally wish I would have done this three years ago when the idea first came to me. These fit my Ariens incredibly well after I cut the excess links off; I ended up taking out two links on one side and one on the other with an angle grinder to get them to fit snug. I know that will make them not perfectly symmetrical on the inside of the rim and the outside, but they aren't coming loose, and will hopefully be on the snow blower until they rust off.Cheaper than buying a new snow blower and makes it easier to run because I have more traction. This should make a difference in the Wisconsin winters. Both chains were the same/correct size. I had no issues installing them after using Youtube.
