Honestly, I needed a replacement for my countertop toaster oven so this seemed like a solid choice. I saw some comments that the size is "small" but that's definitely not the case. It's the same size as my old oven, and I can tell because I can fit the same size of frozen pizzas I always get. Unless you're used to jumbo sized toaster ovens, this is in no way considered a small one. If anything, this is the size you need in order to save space while still being able to cook stuff conveniently. Now, as for the functionality, this can cook anything you want that you'd usually put in an oven. From what I've tried, this does cook faster than a typical oven but not by an extreme amount. If you do want to shave some minutes off though, this oven certainly performs well. Honestly, I really like the options they included on the oven. It has presets but you can also choose your own temperatures. Some things I appreciate that weren't on my old oven include a light and ability to change from celsius to fahrenheit, or vice versa. In terms of cleaning, it's about what you'd expect. It's not any easier or harder than a typical toaster oven. There's a removable tray at the bottom so you can dump out crumbs or wash off stains.Overall, this is a oven that not only looks clean, but performs well. It has modern touches such as the LED screen and faster cook times, all in a neat package, and it's easy to use. For me, it's all I need from a toaster oven so I do think it's worth the price.

In the three weeks we've been using this, we're happy with the way it works, but there are a few quirks. First, compared to the one we've been using for years, our other countertop oven was about six inches wider. This means that the pans my wife uses for making cookies and muffins don't fit. We do have a few smaller pans but that means not getting as many cookies per baking session - this makes me sad. If all we wanted to bake up was a few ribs or some other small amount of grits, it would be fine, but overall, even for the two of us, it's proven to be just too small. We like the simplicity of the controls. A quick read in the manual is all it took to get a good understanding of how to set it up for various jobs. My first reaction was that I would miss buttons, but the dials are easy to use. Overall, the whole control panel is well laid out and intuitive. We use the other oven 99% of the time for baking, and it's straightforward: insert the pan with soon-to-be cookies, hit a button, spin the dial, push another button, and that's it. This is slightly different. For some reason, when putting on "Bake," the air fryer fan kicks in, and we have to manually turn it off. I would prefer to have it operate like other ovens we've used, where we have to intentionally start the air fryer fan if we want it.When using it as an air fryer with the included basket/shelf, it just doesn't do as good of a job as a dedicated air fryer. This is not the only oven that's also sold as an air fryer that produces second-grade French fries; all of the ovens we've used make the same poor fries. The big difference is that ins a dedicated air fryer (the one where the top opens up or the pan slides out the front) is that we can add a small amount of olive oil, which makes a huge difference in the taste. With a screen basket like the one included here, there is no way to add oil. So this ends up being more of a crisper. We can do a nice batch of breaded wings or chicken breasts, as they are already spiced and just need to be heated up. All of that said, this can be used for a much wider range of cooking and baking requirements than traditional air fryers.► I like the rotisserie feature. It works great for a chicken. The top and bottom heating elements do a great job of getting the chicken nice and brown. Also, on the upside, because it is so small, it doesn't take long to achieve the wanted temperatures or use as much electricity to bake/broil/brown/crips whatever gets stuffed into it.🚩 It does a great job on frozen pizza, but because of the overall small size, it's pretty much limited to baking the personal-sized options.Construction-wise, it seems well made and easy to clean and using the various included trays and baskets is simple enough. They all fit nicely. The frying basket is also well-made and easy to clean. On the downside, because the door and interior are so small, it can be difficult to get my big paws into every corner when cleaning up crumbs and splatter. If I were a student or single adult and wanted a small oven for personal use, one that takes up very little counter space, this would be on the list.Price-wise, as I write this review, it's selling for $220.99. It seems expensive, but considering everything it can do and how well it's made, this is going to last a long time, so this is a good deal.

Perfect for large families! Bit of a lengthy review here but figured I’d compare it to my older two to give a good idea of my experience so far! I recently upgraded to the Secura 23 Quart FlashFry Smart Oven from the “BLACK+DECKER Crisp ’N Bake Air Fry Toaster Oven”, and previously the “Sur La Table” from Costco, and the difference has been amazing. While the Black+Decker was great overall, it worked best for smaller meals… so did the Sur La Table- so the Secura has been great. I’ve only been using it for a few weeks but here’s what I’ve found so far… First off, as mentioned, the size. I can cook larger meals like a whole chicken or a big batch of roasted veggies without risking some parts being under or over cooked. The Black+Decker could handle a 12-inch pizza, but anything bigger or bulkier felt like a squeeze. The oven door on the secura lowers like a traditional oven as opposed to the obnoxious swinging door of the Sur La Table, so that’s also a huge plus. The digital controls and multiple pre-set functions on the Secura are more helpful than I expected. I use them way more often than I thought I would. It’s so easy to pick the exact cooking mode I need be it air fry, roast, bake, or even dehydrate (which I tested once and it worked well though I admittedly haven’t used it more than that)—without fiddling with knobs like I had to on the Black+Decker or limited settings of the Sur La Table. The versatility makes me feel like I’ve replaced multiple appliances in one go. The air frying function cooks food evenly. I’d even say it’s both crispier and faster than what I experienced with the Black+Decker, and definitely more even than the Sur La Table. With my old airfryers the air fry setting was decent but didn’t quite hit that perfectly crispy texture, and sometimes it felt more like baking than frying. A nonissue overall but definitely appreciated on this one. Inevitably the Secura takes up a little more counter space, but the added capacity and features are worth it. I haven’t needed my convection oven since I started using this one. If you’re someone who likes cooking bigger portions or has a family, or wants an oven that does more than just toast or air fry, the Secura is definitely a worthwhile upgrade. It’s currently priced at $220 CAD (Jan 2025) and I’d say it’s fair. I’d recommend!

I'm a cooking nut so I have all the fancy gadgets from kitchenaid mixer to anova oven to combustion inc thermometers. I use my Ninja air fryers regularly because they do an amazing job; for veggies, sausage, and fries there's no point using the anova oven which is harder to clean and more expensive to replace. This oven suffers the same fate.I have a toaster oven and a multi-function oven like this already. I use them sometimes, when the air fryer or steam oven aren't the right choice or when I need to prepare many dishes for a large gathering. That means I use them very rarely. While this oven "does it all", it REALLY doesn't do anything better than my other appliances. Making bread, meat, or pastries? You're surely better off with an anova oven. In this, the meat comes out similar to, but dryer than, meat done in the air fryer. When you DON'T want meat done in that style (crispy outside, quickly brought up to temperature) -- stuff like lean turkey, chicken, and pork cuts -- the Anova is the obvious choice, or if you don't have one, sous vide stick + air fryer is better.Pastries and breads are better in the anova oven, but if you have an induction cook top and air fryer you might benefit from getting this. It's certainly a step up from doing cookies or breads in the air fryer.Toast made in it are okay, but definitely different than they are when done in a toaster. I prefer the crispy burnt bread from a toaster, but that's a personal preference; you may prefer the more evenly browned (and bulk-made) toast from this. This can dehydrate, but not rehydrate (which is an awesome feature of the anova oven). Air fryers can dehydrate too. Only really a selling feature if you're going to need to dehydrate a bunch of stuff at once (as opposed to occasionally saving some grocery store fruits that are getting old)So while this did have similar performance to an air fryer and toaster, it's much larger and I don't think it's the right choice for the majority of consumers. If your budget is higher, the anova oven is by far a better choice. If you only have a cook top and don't yet own an air fryer, then this is an interesting option. If you have an air fryer already, then unless you have no oven and want to make bread and pastries, again I'd suggest passing.

One thing we can all agree on is that we don’t have enough kitchen counter space. Coffee machines, mixers, air fryers, and toasters quickly fill counters. The SECURA smart oven will free up some of that space. It can replace a toaster, an oven, an air fryer, and even a food dehydrator. The SECURA has a large 23-quart oven and can cook two pounds of French fries at once. (Which is a good start, right?)This oven comes with all the trays and racks you need to cook. The interior of the stove lights up for easy monitoring of your cooking. The SECURA is simple to use. The control panel is clear, and an LCD screen walks you through the various oven modes. Temperature and time are set with a spin dial and clearly noted on the screen. There are twelve presets for one-touch cooking. You can cook in Fahrenheit or Centigrade. An air fryer is basically a convection oven, and the SECURA has all the benefits of convection cooking. Baked goods, especially yeasted bread, cook well in a convection oven, and the SECURA is large enough to cook a standard loaf. The smaller oven uses less energy than a conventional oven. There’s a clear fold-down front panel to monitor your cooking, and I appreciated the tray placement guide on the window to ensure food is cooked correctly.Like most toaster ovens, the SECURA gets hot to the touch and should be used in an open space. The air fryer mode is not as loud as my other air fryer. There’s a built-in rotisserie for cooking chicken and other meats. This works well and cooks a tasty bird, but be forewarned: You’ll find the oven needs a thorough clean-up afterward, as the rotisserie tends to fling the grease around. Overall, the SECURA is easy to clean with its metal exterior. There’s a built-in ten-hour delay timer, but I’m unsure how you would use it. Sitting chicken or uncooked dough on my counter for ten hours before cooking is not a good idea.Cooking is similar to using a regular oven. I made cookies and an apple crisp at the regular temperature and reduced the time. My oven matched the temperature of my calibrated oven thermometer, with the timer not starting during preheating, crucial for proper baking. But do yourself a favour and check the temperature with an oven thermometer, as some ovens run hotter or colder than speced. We’re in the midst of winter here, so there are no vegetables to dehydrate and store. But I look forward to using this as a hydrator in the Fall when we harvest our crops. The SECURA is a well-made and affordable multi-purpose oven/air fryer that will greatly help your kitchen.
