The first thing I did when these gloves arrived was put them on my hand and run them under a water faucet. They are supposed to be waterproof, after all. Happily I found that they did a very good job of repelling the water and my hands did not feel any wet at all. However I did notice that there's a spot by the webbing of the thumbs where the material is different and that area seemed to absorb some of the water and felt slightly damp to the touch for a while after. Overall I'm happy with the waterproofing as I mostly just needed something to keep my hands dry when having to occasionally move snow.That goes into the fit, which is very nice to me. Not loose anywhere but not too tight either. There easy to get on and off and leave me with pretty good manual dexterity. They are slim enough that I can usually get my hands on and out of my pockets with little issue without having to take the gloves off. They have areas to allow to to use a touchscreen but, much like basically every other glove I've ever tried, it doesn't work very well. For imprecise poking at a large screen it's okay but rarely works on my in car display and certainly never on my phone.Lastly is the warmth which is what brought me to finally review these today. I was outside working for maybe half an hour in 5°f little wind and decent sun and I had to come in to warm up a couple of times because my fingers were freezing. These are supposedly for "extreme" weather; it's not rare for it to be a lot colder in the winter in Minnesota. I'm not impressed by the warmth on these and considering how expensive they were that's a pretty big disappointment. They've been fine for casually going outside, holding a cold steering wheel, or walking down the street for a little while, but to leave me literally so cold after such a short amount of time it's a huge bummer.

Bought these gloves to go to Sweden. Temp went down to -19 and -23. Gloves coped easily

My previous Sealskinz gloves were size Small. They're waterproof, but not warm, and really difficult to put back on if my hands are wet. I bought a pair of Medium winter waterproof gloves (not Sealskinz) that were cheaper, and are warm, but ridiculously bulky, so I decided to risk investing in a pair of Sealskinz Witton gloves - in Medium. They're a really good fit, without the awkward bulk, and keep my hands warm and dry. Just shows you get what you pay for!

I bought 2 pairs. One pair got sent back as the size chart is off by one size. Always buy a size bigger.The second pair I used 3 times. On the 3rd trip cycling I noticed the seam on one glove parted. A pair of gloves should last more than 25km.

Very disappointed with these gloves that apparently offer protection to minus 5 - they don't offer protection to minus 2 - critique of Sealskinz not seller
