I bought these gloves after quite some research as ones which were suitable for ‘extreme cold’ as they said they were good for temperatures down to minus 20 centigrade. I measured my hand carefully following their guidelines and chose a size larger, but they were still rather tight. I wore them for a couple of hours at a temperature just above freezing, and my fingers got really cold - useless!! I replaced them with another make, which kept my fingers beautifully warm.

As you might see from the heading, these gloves, despite being sold as "extreme weather" gloves, according to Sealskinz criteria, fall far short of being so.Yes, waterproof and windproof, however, they aren't all that warm. The filling inside the gloves is quite thin and by the fingertips, practically non existent, so you only really have the outer waterproof layer and the inner lining to protect you from the cold.Just about do the job in this cold UK January 2025 spell, which is nowhere near what I'd call extreme (around3 degrees when I went out). Although fingers didn't get frozen, they weren't exactly warm either. I could feel the cold through the finger area for sure. Had temperature been in the negative figures, I doubt these gloves would really do the job.Alas, too late to return.I'd look elsewhere if you want "extreme weather" gloves.

Zwar etwas besser als die bisher von mir benutzten Handschuhe, aber eben nur "etwas". Bei Minusgraden auf dem MTB versagt auch dieser Handschuh. "Extreme Cold Weather"? Ernsthaft?
