This item was DOA for me. I tried 2 Windows machines and one mac, and all three couldn't connect to the device. The seal itself had a light on, but didn't show up in the system USB explorers. Maybe the cable is bad? Maybe the USB transceiver broke? Either way, it doesn't matter. I am absolutely frustrated with this thing.

I will be the first to admit, scanning has a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it is almost fun.I have had a few issues with the software. Sometimes it works very well, but other times it doesn't. Multiple scans can also cause the program to slow down, but other than that it is smooth on a regular computer.I’ve been 3D printing for a while, but this is my color scanner. I didn’t realize how much detail it could capture; it surprised me! It’s like having a shortcut to complex models without needing a lot of CAD skills. It would have been great if it had included a case, tripod, and turntable.

Good:-Versatile uses.-Offers good scanning specs.-Nice to have on hand for our 3D printing projects.Bad:-I would prefer additional accessories.I ordered the 3DMakerpro Store Seal 3D Scanner for 3D Printer, Standard. I like the quality and solid feel of the scanner. The IOS compatibility is convenient for our use. I like that the scanner includes a head mount for a tripod, power cable and adapter. The scanner does not include a case, turn table or tripod. Overall, I think that the scanning process could be more intuitive and the hand scanning did not work very well for me.

As an avid 3d scanner user, I recently purchased the Maker Pro Seal Scanner, and I was blown away by the quality and depth of scanned details it provides for small objects. With an accuracy of .01mm, this small and compact unit delivers exceptional results. The Seal has not only met but exceeded my expectations, and I am thrilled to recommend it to anyone looking for a scanner that provides both quality and convenience. I simply connected it to my pc and the JM studio software picked up the scanner.I already own the 3d Makerpro Whale and Mole scanners, which I use for large and medium object scanning, such as cars, car parts, and household objects, and I needed a scanner capable of scanning smaller, more detailed objects that are only a couple of inches in size (1”-6”, 25-150mm). With a scanning accuracy of .01mm, the seal has more than delivered on my needs. It is incredible. The scanning operation is simple and comfortable with this small and compact unit. The build quality is excellent, and the unit has a quality feel and weight. i gave it a real tough test straight out of the box., check out the photos. one turn on the turntable and this was the amazing result. 40mm tall.

So I got my first 3D Scanner because I love 3D printing I thought this would be fun. I'm big into Transformers and Star Wars and I wanted to 3D scan things and 3D print accessories. I should have looked for an indepth review before I bought this. I just opened it up today and having problems from the get-go. You actually need a very bright light source to use this so if you live in a very dark place you're screwed. Not to mention it has to be plugged in the entire time while you're using it. It did not come with any instructions and for $700 I expected this thing to work. If you're a first time user don't buy it if you're a veteran user don't buy it. After seeing a review on YouTube That a veteran 3D model 3D scanner posted using this it's I have come to the conclusion that there are much better options.
