I really liked the design and sturdy feel if this light. It was compact and water proof. I ordered a pair for my gopro rig for underwater photography.I was excited to see the blue light setting was more like a an actinic, or UV, blue like the lights used in reef aquariums. This, and the red light mode for saving night vision, would make night diving real interesting.Unfortunately I got about two minutes into my first dive in a shallow spring when both lights died on me. Both lights had a problem holding battery charge and were essentially useless.This was disappointing, since the rest of the design showed so much promise. At least I figured it out, returned them, and got other video lights before my dive vacation.

I bought this light because it is 1.75"x1.75"x2.75" (to the front of the dome) and is submersible. I am adding it to my waterproof camera gear. The light is very bright with the diffuser and even brighter without. The light spread is wide and soft-edged with the diffuser and narrower and hard-edged without. Has a 1/4" tripod mount on the bottom. Came with a hot/cold shoe mount adapter which is a very nice addition. I don't have any practical uses for the colored lights, but they might be fun for some creative photography.This is a great value for a bright compact light that comes with everything you need to attach and modify it, much less for one that is also submersible to 200ft!

these have very poor battery life full charge on Brite setting on first use got 20 minutes use on 2 lights not very happy about it since 1.5 hours was claimed

I clicked the buttons a few times after taking it out of the box and now the white light button will not hold. Can not turn the unit on. Also, no way this light is as strong as stated... it is perhaps 500 lumen at best. I believe that having the to press the on/off button 3 times while under water would be a pain as well. Do not buy this product.

Bought two of these lights for macro photography using our GoPro Hero cameras on a recent dive trip to the Philippines. The batteries lasted quite a while, and no leaks or problems at depths down to 25 meters (~80 feet) for us. These are not the top shelf lights we saw other divers using, but we didn't have the several thousand dollars worth of housings and cameras they had either...lol. Recommended if you are just getting started, or don't want to invest in the big budget toys.However, we lost the ziplock bag that had our two little ball head attachment, so we had to improvise with just using a cold shoe adapter. That fixes it in place, so we could not tilt or adjust the angle of the light with the "snoot" (light focus attachment) after that. I can't find a replacement yet, but will keep looking. ;-)Here are a couple of pictures: a nudibranch (Anilao) and a porcelain crab (Puerto Galera).

Have taken this down several times now to a depth of 80' and very happy with the results. It does a great job of lighting for my camera in pitch black situations and works flawlessly.

Not sure if I liked this light.I purchased this light for 2 reasons; 1 for snorkeling and 1 for using as a fill light for construction photography (I use a speed light for real estate photography).I never used this for snorkeling, so can't speak to the waterproof claim. I did a few shots with it. It illuminated well for about 12'. However, this was good enough for larger rooms with no light in them. Therefore, I returned it.

I can not be more pleased with these lights. I am able to get good video of under water eco systems to report back to the county
