I wanted to run two group 24 size batteries instead of group 27. I made a spacer to fill the gap using cutting board material and it worked great.

If all you need is something to keep two marine batteries in place and contain any potential acid leaks this will work just fine. It's just got a nylon webbing strap and plastic buckle retain the batteries but it works ok. Several reviews have complained about the buckle breaking when used, but if they got the same buckle as I did they must have been REALLY leaning into it... yes I probably could have snapped it if I tried but if you just do it up enough to retain the batteries you'll be fine... and if you do manage to snap it replacements are easily found. You'll need to screw the tray down to the floor, it's too flimsy to hold the batteries without a solid base.

If you are looking for a battery tray to hold two batteries, this one is a good buy. I installed it yesterday in my camper to hold two AGM batteries and it worked great.
